As a student who has studied Thai culture in university for 12 years, all I have to say is

3:03 I presume “pointing” is somehow particularly disavowed in Thailand? I mean, I don’t like to be pointed at but that is a minor inconvenience. Just like I don't like someone stepping on my feet in a shop cashier queue, or someone setting up their back of the airplane/train seat some much backwards that I get stuck behind (this last one is actually worse). Nothing particularly harmful.

Question I have is are monks allowed to seek health care for diseases, ailements or dental work? I noticed this monk has braces. What about excercise for general health and fitness?

If the feet is considered dirty, why take off your shoes in another's home?

I just like to learn about where i want to go's etiquettes, i like to show respect to the people i visit, it's like visiting someone's home, and u have to respect the house rules. Doing the wai, i didn't know there was three types, i thought there's only the chin one and forehead one, and from my senses i knew the higher you go up the more you show respect. Same for the feet and the monk, im ashamed that i know pretty good amount infos about Buddhism, but didn't know about thay you Shouldn't walk close to a monk or even stay closer as a woman. I always show respect to every Country i go by following the etiquettes. The less thing a person can do is show a smile and a good manners to the ppl you visit no matter where you go☺️. And for anyone planing to go to Thailand, especially Bangkok, good luck and have the best moments of your life there, and dont forgot, try as much as you can the Thai cuisines, you won't regret that❤❤❤

don't agree for any thai monk should have a mobile phone I think it's a distraction. there are the land line phone if any needs for a communication & thai monks should not be out in night markets either

I like Thailand because of its natural beauty. But I don't value the people here. I learned a lot of bad things about their culture. They are superficial, dishonest, and manipulative. They only want the money. For some reason They know that tourism is important in Thailand. But they still refuse to study Western languages. They will not forgive poor Thai pronunciations, they have no idea how hard their language is. don't go to Thailand for socializing, it's a waste of time. Unless you're a masochist.

FYI, the Portuguese and British influence Thai culture a lot also. Example on the architectural buildings like the Grand Palace and the parliament building

The thing annoys me in Thailand is guys sitting in bars with no shirt on. What is the Thai view on this? I imagine this is also disrespectful ?
