Hilarious! when I was a 15 year old apprentice mechanic , I was sent to the storeman to get a long weight. After standing there for about 10 mins , the storeman asked me " Have you waited long enough yet? " Got me good. All part of the learning curve.

A crew that was next to us building pre fab houses, they sent a helper to get a wood stretcher. We all were in tears when he came back with a wench

We did a "boom check" on our new LT when i was in the Army. We had him yell "BOOM" into the howitzer barrel as loud as he could so we could get a reading on what was only some gauges for the hydraulics lmao. Dude was not happy when he found out we were fucking with him

Starting out in construction (carpentry), I got sent for the board stretcher. Pretty harmless. While I was in the job trailer I took down a phone message, for the boss to return a call from Mr Lyon. Then I wrote down the number of the Oakland Zoo. Later a carpenter came back from a trip to Guatemala with hepatitis. We made plans to go get the recommended gamma globulin shots together. He had been playing poker all night when he picked me up. At the Dr.'s office I followed the nurse in first, when I started rolling up my sleeve she wagged her finger and then proceeded to bury a big needle in my ass-cheek. Very sore, I walked back into the waiting area and as he was passing me on his way in I looked over and gave a little wince and shook my head while rubbing my shoulder. The look he gave me when he came back out was priceless.😂 Fun times!

He passed. Gonna make a good hand one day.

As a young man I was privileged with a very nice body, I was built well and strong. My first day on the construction site, after meeting crew, some guy says pick that box up and put it on that second floor landing. No steps yet, a ladder was the way up. I went to pick up the box and realized I was being tested, it was very heavy. Full box of aluminum 3' coil. It was tough, but, I threw it over my shoulder and went up the ladder, setting it down on the landing. I climbed back down, looking at some very surprised faces. Guy looks at others and says, he's on my crew. 👍🤣
