Been to this buffet three times. Lots of selection, food is good, and price is reasonable. Buffet like this in LV would cost around $55.00.

Finally ate there after so many years of visiting Monterey and I can honestly say I wish I never had gone there. 45 min wait,1 hour to get my food just to find out they couldn’t make the fish i wanted. Will never eat there again !

Grew up with this place. The original was Rosemead or San Gabriel? Clearman had 3 restaurants there. The Golden Cock which was high end, The Ship and of course Northwoods Inn. The Golden Cock had an oil and vinegar dressing that was to die for. You could buy it from them at their back door. I have looked and looked for the recipe to no avail. The blue cheese salad was soooo good

Wow! I went there as a young whippersnapper. Hey? What’s that you say? You betcha, I could gulp 2 Double Doubles and was thin as a rail. But in them days I kinda remember 2 booths, both tiny mind ya, one where you ordered and the other were fer the feller peeling potatoes. Maybe that was a later addition.

Michael was the nicest and most generous person you’d ever want to meet. He was a great man and a great friend. I helped build the draw bridge, back in 1969 and would occasionally help Michael whenever he needed an extra hand with a project. Wonderful memories…

Thank you for this! This was very helpful. My husband and I are currently trying to decide if we are driving or riding the train to Santa Barbara. I did not realize there was a stop in Glendale. That would be easier for us :) Can you tell me what day of the week you did this trip? I didn't realize the Santa Barbara train was so popular lol We would be going on a Sunday and returning on Tuesday.

We went there Saturday and came back Monday on the weekend of the 4th of July. It was busy, especially when we reached Glendale. Probably, only because it was a holiday weekend.

7/30/23 My husband and daughters went to eat at this restaurant and the food they brought back home was delicious- steak,ribs,coleslaw,onion rings,shrimp,carrot cake so magnificent good love this place 💞

So cool. I've done this route so many times, Its always on time. Unlike Amtrack at sh** states like republican supporting states, California amtrack is always on time. The Michigan one, is so bad. I'm sure it is bad at other states.
