There are many factors in creating an amazing design. One resource I found that succeeds in merging these is the Delfords magic plan (check it out on google) without a doubt the no.1 course that I have ever heard of. look at this unbelievable site.

@JUSTONEEEE Correct on both accounts. If "wrapping off center" hasn't been mentioned before it should have! There is a link to my home made marimba in the video description. I built it as a high school student when I had to decide between buying a car or a marimba.

@JUSTONEEEE Correct on both accounts! I can't remember if "wrapping off center" has been mentioned before but if not, it should have! And there is a link to my home made marimba in the video description. I built it has a high school student because I had money for either a car or marimba. Of course I picked the car and built the marimba.

I'm not sure if it has been stated before, but to get that hole at the top you should wrap the mallet slightly off center. Not too much or the yarn will just slide off the core. Also was that a home-made marimba you were playing on at the end?!

Thank you for uploading this video instruction for wrapping mallets. One can read instructions and get an idea, but actually watching someone do it, creates a whole other element to the learning process. Kudos!
