But when a part of it is lowered from the head, it also covers the face, ensuring the entire body is covered. **Allah commands women to lower their jilbabs so that their entire bodies, including the face and hands, are covered.** **The Command to Lower the Gaze from Women:** “Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts...” **[Al-Noor **24:30**]** A woman is among the prohibited things not to look at with a full gaze unless she is a *mahram*. If you have any doubt regarding what a *jilbab* is, you can research. The Quran in Sura 65:1, 4 says: 65:1 O Prophet, when you [and the believers] divorce women, divorce them for their prescribed waiting-period and count the waiting-period accurately . . . 4 And if you are in doubt about those of your women who have despaired of menstruation, (you should know that) their waiting period is three months, and the same applies to those who have not menstruated as yet. As for pregnant women, their period ends when they have delivered their burden.
