I have heard dozens of versions of A Whiter by Procol Harum over the course of 50 years. I have always thought that the 1967 version was the best, because in later years the band changed the tempo - the song was played a bit slower. However, this live version from Denmark (2006) is the best. The vocalist in Olympic form, the band, the orchestra and the choir form one organism. The song is brilliantly arranged, played and recorded. Finger-licking good!

The balance on the bass and treble is off on the playback of the song - it needs less bass and more treble, perhaps more mid-tones too.Perhaps a bit too much echo, too.
