Thanks for the great video. I had an XT 3 and sold it on eBay and I've been missing my camera for the last three years so I'm thinking about buying an XT 4. The one thing I like that you mentioned in your review was the separate menus for Video and Photography so I don't have to go through all that menu choices and the larger battery. Do you know if they have released a software update on the XT 3 that separates the menus? I don't do much video shooting, but I do like the fully articulating rear screen that might be the main reason for me to go with the XT4.

When you compare the bokeh, all lenses should have the same aperture setting. Of course the 1.4 will be better than a 1.8.

its an unfair comparison. Its a no win, the Sony with is dual base ISO demolishes the R5 for video, whereas the R5 beats the piss out of the S3 on photography. But since you're testing the 120fps 'video' capability, the Sony wins hands down.

I am looking to get the same level of quality as in Alien. I think Alien is a beautiful movie and if I can match that quality I am fine. I am so confused though.... Super 35 sensor is like film which is what they would've used for Alien so why not just do that?

If you absolutely want XLR inputs just get a mixer with XLR inputs and line out outputs and there you have it. For any small production four cams are enough but for audio you might want to use an external multichannel mixer. Any critical audio processing is taking place in the mixer and the switcher only passes the audio through.

This is amazing as I was baffled on how I could shoot natively at 800 and at 5000 . when I shot at 5000 I expected to get bad results however my results were clean and clear with little to no noise. I’m still baffled on how exactly this is achieved by the camera, but I will not overthink it because it just works.

Very unscientific but maybe its useful for someone: I tried what's recommended here, changed the lens, etc. No luck. Then, with the 'ERR' present, I pushed the shutter button, then it worked again.

Useful, but quite wordy. Supported cameras in 8K and 4K at 120 could have been more easily defined/reinforced with titles (not just spoken words.)
