Heya! Great train!! On your modern box car MOCs, are you building sideways and using the 1x8 plate door rail to create the vertical rib effect?

Thank you 🙂The build of the bogie is shown in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/inycnpyQpLGEpaM Some modifications had to be made to fit the engines into the locomotive. The case of the L-motors has been removed, only the gearbox and the electric motor are installed. The bogies only work with R72+ curves, R56 may work, but never tested.

Ui! Du hast das "unmotorisierbare" Set motorisiert! 😲 Klasse! Natürlich interessiert mich das "Wie". Motoren unterzubringen sollte ja nicht das große Problem sein. Aber wie hast Du die Verbindung nach unten zu den Drehgestellen gemacht? Die Wellen müssen ja genau durch den Drehpunkt der beiden Gestelle geführt werden. Waren viele Änderungen am Gestänge erforderlich? Oder nur die kleinen Krüppelstangen durch Kreuzachsen ersetzt? Ich bin neugierig, da das jungfräuliche Set bei mir seit über einem Jahr unberührt vor sich hinliegt. Viiiiele Grüße! 🙂

Danke für die Blumen, der Umbau war zum Teil echt anstrengend und schwierig. Ich weiß die Details nicht mehr genau, ich beschreibe mal was ich noch so in Erinnerung habe. Die beiden Drehgestelle sind stark modifiziert, der Drehgestellrahmen mit dem Treibrädern wurde aus 4x Technik-Teil Nr. 32324 gebaut um eine gewisse Stabilität zu erreichen. 3 von den 4 Achsen pro Drehgestell sind angetrieben, die Antriebsachse geht durch eine 4x4 Turntable-Kombi, verwendet wird ein L-Motor pro Drehgestell. Das Gestänge wurde soweit übernommen, die dünne Kolbenstange durch eine Technik-Achse ersetzt. Der Zylinder bzw. die Kolbenstangenaufnahme musste stabilisiert werden. Die Kolbenstange muss sauber laufen, sonst Katastrophe beim Fahrbetrieb. Der Vorläufer musste auch anpasst werden, die Originalkonstruktion hat bei mir irgendwie gar nicht funktioniert. Zu erwähnen ist noch das die Lok nur für R72 und größer ausgelegt ist. Ich werde bei Gelegenheit das Modell aus der Kiste holen, dann kann ich eine genauere Beschreibung liefern bzw. Bilder machen.

The double stack and hopper cars are from BlueBrixx: www.bluebrixx.com/en/trains/101476/Container-Car-40-ft-BRIX www.bluebrixx.com/en/trains/101393/4-bay-hopper-car-50-ft-BRIX The manual download is for free if you register there. The quality of the parts delivered by BlueBrixx varies, but they have always worked well for me so far. The only problem are the axles, they are a bit too short, i replaced them with 40 mm long axles. The wheels may work, I replaced them with LEGO wheels part number 57878.

This is pretty much exactly how I want my setup to be. The engines are super detailed and I love the cars as well. I just ordered a few union pacific engines myself. This scale is the best!

Hi, es sind 2 L-Motoren in den Loks verbaut, allerdings ohne Gehäuse. Es sind nur das Getriebe und der Elektromotor eingebaut.

Hi. It is a SDP40F (6 axles) but you are right, this is a passenger locomotive. I used it because the locomotive wasn't often used in videos. A new showcase video featuring a GP40-2 locomotive is planned. Thank you for watching.

Hammer... ich hab jetzt 5 min geschaut ob die letzte lok die Erste noch einholt ;-) So viele Waggons habe ich gar nicht, aber meine sind genauso eingestaubt 😀 Die 24 Meter Gleise liegen aber auch nicht ständig da oder?

Hatte die Waggons lange Zeit offen aufbewahrt, jetzt werden die in Euroboxen gepackt, kann man dann auch gut stapeln. Die 2 Geraden vor dem Schrank lass ich meistens liegen, stören da nicht allzu sehr, der Rest wird abgebaut, ist immer viel Arbeit.

Korrekt, durch das Schieben der Loks bleiben die Waggons zusammen. Das Anfahren ist allerdings etwas knifflig, da in den ersten beiden Loks LEGO L-Motoren und in den anderen Mould King L-Motoren verbaut sind. Die Fahreigenschaften der Loks sind bei geringer Geschwindigkeit nicht ganz identisch.

Das ist aber auch schon grenzwertiger Fahrbetrieb, das Anfahren klappt grad so. Zuerst hatte ich BB Akkuboxen verwendet, die brechen aber schnell ein mit der Leistung, keine Chance damit 10 Runden zu fahren. Danke fürs Anschauen.

What motors do you use? Power up?

I use 2 LEGO Power Function L motors which are modified. The plastic case has been removed, only the electric motor and gearbox are installed. Both motors are connected to a BuWizz 2.0 battery box, which can provide the appropriate power.
