The late god father of soul aka JAMES BROWN played this song back in the year of 1962 and it became a big hit on the radio even back then.Great classic tune none the less.

I actually believe that this is Bob Herndon on the chord harmonica and harmonetta. Bass I am not sure of. My documents say Don played lead diatonic but also bass. I don't hear any chromatic so I don't think that Mildred Mulcay is on this album. It is possible that Mo Vint is on this album too.

Perhaps someone can help me, an old man with unfinished business. I’m looking for a relative, the son of one of the harmonicats. I want to return several harmonicas to him. It’s been a long time and I have lost track of this person and have forgotten his name. The harmonicas are of no monetary value they are sentimental possessions that I am sure mean a lot to him. I have tried to contact him over the decades and this is probably my last chance to return these items to their rightful owner. I exchanged these harmonicas for a guitar but I do need the guitar back, I just want to return these harmonicas. My name is Sean Walker and I knew this person in the 80’s in the suburbs of Chicago where I was performing music in bars. We became friends and exchanged these items. We somehow lost track of each other and well that is about it. It is my hope he will see this post and reply to my channel “Walkertongdee”. Anyone who has an idea who this person may possibly be your help will be appreciated. I will be able to return these items, they are stored in Chicago.

Don Les siempre fue uno de los grandes de los Harmonicats.

A friend and I got out of the service at the same time in 1964 and he invited me to stay a month while he introduced me around. When we went back to his fathers home above a floral shop in New York City, There were harmonicas every where. That's when he told me that his father played for the Harmonicats (or was it the Harmonica rascals or Harmonica gang?) I don't quite recall. Ive been trying to remember names all week since recalling that wonderful month. If anyone might help me with names, please chime in. His son's name was Frank, that's all I remember. Thanks.
