What you didn’t tell us is which direction to wind the replacement wire. The spool has arrows pointing out the direction of travel. Should you wind with or against the direction of the arrows?

I can adjust the cable, but I get a grinder like noise. I assume from the drive box, this is happening either way! If I tighten it too much it doesn’t drive the wheels evenly and the mower pulls one way or the other! Any thoughts?

Do not rent with Cruise America. The contract they make you sign up front is a full “happiness” contract meaning you will have absolutely zero recourse when their horrible shoddy RV breaks down on you mid/trip as it did us. Our fault for not reading the fine print. The RV we picked up was filthy. It was the day before we had to drive from Michigan to Florida for my daughter’s wedding so I just rolled up my sleeves and cleaned it. We got to Atlanta and it simply broke down. They directed us a place to pick up another. Our ONLY option was a spider infested bust less filthy version we took out of desperation. Mid-way on that one we tried to use the bathroom and it began to spew water all over the floor upon flushing. Our plan was our family was going to sleep in the RV on the way to Florida. No can do without a toilet. Cruise America said fix it when you get to Florida ON OUR DIME. So of course we had to get hotel rooms. Once we got to Florida they wanted me to drive that heap miles to a repair shop. IT WAS MY DAUGHTER’S WEDDING. When we got back I wanted half my money back and when I tell you the obnoxious rude nasty way we were treated I can not begin to explain it. They gave us like a $100 discount. Thanks! And I will tell you, our experience was so harrowing our local newspaper did an article about our experience. They have no customer service, their vehicles are not maintained, the one that broke down had a squirrel’s nest in the engine, and they do not care about you the customer. Rent from private individuals. Never this company. Ever!

The only thing I do not like is that the crank rod does not fold straght and hang down. For tis reason I will buy the Coolaro from Lowes, a little more but well worth it to me The price point is about 20% more for the Coolaro but well worth it! The good thing about the Costco brand is that the loop at the top for the crank is metal and the coolaro is plastic buy very strong, I doubt it will break and you can always go on line to order parts for both. I am currently struggling to do this on a 2014 Dodge grand caravan. The "pegs" don't seem to go into the slots as easy as the video shows. Seems like it should be easy but for now the trim is back in my back seat waiting for my next try.

Thank you. I just installed two of these. Mounting them underneath the structure worked for my situation and was easy to figure out which side to latch on when using this orientation. They are a bit heavy for me to lift up near my head while im on a ladder but thankfully they latch on pretty easily so it wasn't too bad.

About the wires. You said black to black and white to white. Is it not grounded by a third. wire for grounding. I have the same in my bathroom a wall outlet for shaving 220V (europe) not grounded Electricity and water is always dangerous.
