If you’d like to email me (I put my email in the description), I can send you a blank transcript master to fill in with your own courses 😊 The columns are already set to calculate hours and gpa as you enter! Hope that helps!

I've graduated 2 so far, and this was probably the best explanation of how to record and give credits for high school for both academic subjects and interest-led subjects. Great job, Mama!!!!

@notthecoolmom1 You're welcome! I also love your one subject primary focus approach. High school can be overwhelming when all the subjects are so heavy. It's hard to balance that. My youngest is in 7th/8th, and I'm already seeing how heavy subjects can be. The one subject primary focus is an excellent idea! I kind of noticed with my other graduates that they would focus really hard on one subject, then kind of go through the motions on the others, which stressed me out. Why not just structure the year that way and not stress everyone out?

Absolutely! It seems to have helped us quite a bit!

Great advice. I'm bad about the "one more page" too.

It’s not always bad though- I usually thank myself for it when we have busy days later and we’ve done a lot of school already 😂

Hi! Great video!! The "technical" term for this method would be "Reverse planning" lol. And yes, I do need to have a list of what to get done each day...if I don't, something or thingS will not get done haha. But just listing our subjects and filling in what we did, instead of placing specific lessons/pages is definitely liberating lol! It's worked so well for us!

Thanks for sharing!! I knew there was an official name for it! 😂😂

I am also in a very busy season of life right now. Our son is graduating from high school/technical college this month, our oldest daughter and our son-in-law are moving to Japan, for 4 years, at the beginning of June with the air force and to top things off, we just closed on building our new house in TN. So, my husband and I are slowing starting to get projects done around our current house in preparation to sell at the end of this year. Our weekends are packed full of projects. So planning for homeschool for our two younger kiddos sometimes doesn't get done. When that happens I fall back on "reverse planning". My kids love reverse planning weeks. We try and hit the main subjects but if we don't, it's ok. I simply record down what we have done. Sometimes I start to internally panic if we didn't do math or history, etc., but I try to quickly remind myself that this is just a temporary season of life for all of us right now. For example, instead of doing math book work, I will play some math games. Good luck! Thanks for sharing.
