Hiya, I'm so sorry for not replying sooner - I have only just seen this message. I'm sure it's probably a bit late now but I'm afraid it's been so long since I made this video that I can't find the original link I used. However all I did was search Google images for 'Paw Patrol Marshall 2D face on' then chose an image that I liked. I've just searched this now and this link is a very similar image to the one I used: pin.it/Knln81Bsh Best wishes, Rainy x

Hi, thank you for watching my video. It's been a while since I made it but I think I would have used 1-2 packs (250g each pack) of brown fondant for this project. 1 would probably do it but I like to err on the side of caution. I hope this helps 😊 love Rainy xxx

Do you have to use edible glue to make it
@RainyJohnson Жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for your question. I tend to use edible glue but you don't have to use it. You can stick fondant to itself just with a little dab of water too. Simply dip a small (clean food safe) paintbrush into some water, wipe off the excess, dab it on and stick your fondant pieces together. It'll take a few hours or so to dry, and for best results you'll want to dry it overnight. I hope this helps. All the best with your cake project ❤️ Rainy xxx

Hello Rainy🌷, Can your chocolate fudge cake recipe also work for cupcakes?
@RainyJohnson Жыл бұрын
Hello Erica! Thanks so much for checking out my tutorial. Yes, I have made cupcakes with these. You'll have to experiment with timings but I would fill a standard sized pastry case 1/2 - 2/3s full (depending on how big you want them to be). Then I would bake at 160 degrees c for about 20 mins and check the centre with a skewer. If they're done the skewer will come out clean. If not, bake for another 3-5 mins and repeat. Hope this helps. Let me know how you get on. Happy baking 😊 Rxxx

Very interesting video. Our under stair s cupboard is slightly different and I’m working on re organising it . We did de clutter it a while ago, but since renovating house stuff just got shoved in there. But now we can have a little go at sorting it out until we can decide the final touches ie, if we need to add shelves or use an old chest of drawers we have ( if it’ll fit through the doors!) For now we’ve got some big tote boxes to put things in and I’ll write a list of what’s in them! This will have to do for now. Then I need to tackle linen cupboard a.k.a black hole of doom!!! ( I buy too much bedding!!!) fab video and storage ideas I hope it’s still working out for you x

Hi Rainy - how many do you think this serves? Tia
@RainyJohnson2 жыл бұрын
Hi Tia, I would say that this size of cake would serve around 15-20 people depending on the size of your slices and whether they were children or adults eating. If you needed it to serve more you could use a bigger square cake pan and incorporate the 4th rectangle of cake (I only used ¾ of the 9" cake for my recipe)? It'd just be a taller ship. Or you could bake some cupcakes to go with the main cake? I hope this helps. Rxxx

Hi Rainy Thank you for the great tuturial, how long, how long before a party can I bake and decorate this cake?
@RainyJohnson2 жыл бұрын
Hi Erica, thank you so much for your comment 😊 so you can bake the chocolate cake weeks in advance then as soon as they're out, give them about 30 mins or so to cool then you can wrap them in cling film (plastic wrap) and a layer of foil (aluminium wrap) if you like and store it in your freezer until you need it. I wrap mine whilst they're still fairly warm as this tends to keep my cakes naturally moist. Then when you're ready to decorate it, defrost it thoroughly then you'll be able to frost your cake, carve it and decorate it as shown in the video. I tend to decorate my cakes 1-2 days before they're needed as the fondant and ganache layer protect the cake from drying out. I hope this helps. Happy baking!! 😊 Rxxx

Try to give something that would benefit them when they grow, such as learning books for kids! not just any learning books but something more tailor made such as *personalised childrens books* where you're able to have custom characters, cover and labels, making it a more "especially made" gift

Does the lesson last a whole year with schooling four times a day?
@RainyJohnson3 жыл бұрын
So sorry for the delay, I've only just seen this. So I am going to do a couple videos soon breaking down how practically we're using the Master Books curriculums at the moment and then I'll also do a video reviewing what we're using so far. But basically the Simply K and Math are designed to be 3 days and 5 days per week respectively, but Lily loves the Math so we usually do just 3 days a week for both, but do a couple lessons from the Math alongside Simply K if that makes sense? So day 1 = lesson 1 SimK and lessons 1 & 2 Math, day 2 = lesson 2 SimK and lessons 3 & 4 Math then day 3 = SimK lesson 3 and Math lesson 5. The curriculum lasts 36 weeks so will definitely last us a year. I hope that answers your question. God bless, Rainy xxx

How much white chocolate did you use for dripping.?Pls reply I need to make a birthday cake so I want to follow your recipe.
@RainyJohnson3 жыл бұрын
Hi Fatema, thanks for your question 😊 Its a while back now but I may have used 2 x 100g packs for this. However when I make this cake nowadays I use white chocolate ganache for the drip in a 3:1 ratio (3 parts chocolate, 1 part double cream (or heavy cream if you're outside the UK)). So to drip this cake I'd probably use 150g white chocolate to 50g cream, then melt together in the microwave at 30 second intervals stirring well between intervals until you have a smooth ganache. Allow to cool enough to be runny but not too hot. You can apply your drips with a spoon or pop your ganache into a piping bag for greater control. Make sure your cake has been thoroughly chilled (either 10 minutes in the freezer or 30 minutes in the fridge) so your drips set as they start to drip down. If you'd still prefer to use white chocolate on its own just be aware that it sets firm so it can be tricky to cut the cake. To make this easier, heat your cutting knife in boiling water, dry thoroughly then allow the heat of the knife to melt through the chocolate as you cut. Then repeat for each slice. This will give you a clean cut. I hope this helps. All the best with your cake and let me know if there's anything else I can help with. Love Rainy xxx

i add cmc to fondant , i want to make rainbow to stand.. the longer i roll,its turn to get crack and strangled. i dont know why
@RainyJohnson4 жыл бұрын
Hi Norra, yes that is the drawback of adding CMC - it can dry out your fondant. Try adding a little glycerine, or even a few drops of water, and kneading it into your fondant. Make sure your fondant is well kneaded before rolling it out between your palms. You can also pop it in the microwave for 5-10 seconds to soften it even more. I hope this helps - I always find fondant is a temperamental medium to work with. Rxxx

If we have to make it one day before can we make by adding tylose powder?
@RainyJohnson4 жыл бұрын
I think 1 day before might be a little challenging even with tylose added - you could dry it overnight in the oven with just the oven light switched on (no heat, just the light) but you would have to test it the following day to be sure it could hold. Wishing you all the best with it👍 Rxxx

Very nice and beautiful♥️ can i ask a question, about how many houers later it becomes strong to take and put it on top of the cake? and wich fondant do you use for it, just ordinary or model paste? or add something?
@RainyJohnson4 жыл бұрын
Hi Tamuna, I use ordinary fondant icing which I strengthen with cmc powder. You could also use Gum Tragacanth to strengthen your fondant but that takes a little longer to firm up. Alternatively you could use modelling paste. I let my rainbow set for about 4 days before I used it, but basically the longer the better. If you want it to set sooner you can try popping it in the oven with just the oven light on (no heat). The warmth from the lamp can help to dry it out faster. I hope this helps 😊 all the best with your own rainbow topper! Rainy xxx
