@@toneyisaiah3556 I have been wanting to try the Epiphone Grabber/Ripper and compare with the original ones, but I am not sure I should! 😁 Which Epiphone bass do you have? Those Fender Rumble amps are nice man! Good choice!

Greetings from Spain. I own a Ripper from 1979 in natural finish. 30 years with me but not playing it now...too many bases. It have a very sound with flats strings too.

Hola! So you have the maple body one! I wonder if that is the heaviest bass you own and what your go to bass is 🤔

I really love how much character those instruments have, they have their own sort of sound that just draw me in

If they made the Ripper in a more simplified and affordable version (like an Epiphone), it would be a very nice and versatile option and perhaps it would help more people discover its potential. And not something like those "new" Epiphone short scale and boringly sounding mudbucker pickups basses

Epiphone currently sells a Grabber bass.

Mudbucker! 😂 Funny, but very true!

The Ripper's body shape mimics that of the old Gibson Les Paul Signature semi-hollow body bass, and its currently-available cousin, the Epiphone Jack Casady. I had a mid-'70s Ripper for many years, and loved its neck and tone. I sold it a few years ago (for about $1,450 USD) to fund the purchase of another instrument, which I still have.

The Epiphone Jack Cassady looks great! Do you miss playing the Ripper bass?

@greenpeakproductions I sometimes do - it was a great instrument! But the Rickenbacker that took its place is great too, so I can't complain.
