Maybe you could call the erhu used to play "Er Quan Ying Yue" a "low-tuned erhu" rather than a "bass erhu," since there is an actual bass erhu (usually tuned an octave lower than a zhonghu), and it's called "dahu" (大胡).

Your sharing the information about your inheritance of the sanxian tradition transmitted by Master Xu Xincheng (and his teacher Wang Xiuqing) is appreciated, and your student performance from the mid-1980s is very brilliant. Is Zhongzhou guqu (中州古曲) similar to Henan bantou qu (河南板头曲)? I don't recognize the piece he is playing.

Is it based on a Tang yanyue melody, and, if so, which one? Your sanxian here sounds very similar to a (Tang-Dynasty style) quxiang pipa.
