Plumbing doesn’t go inside an outside wall😂 Also PEX fittings restrict water flow by decreasing the inside diameter of pipe, as opposed to copper pipe.

Thank you for your videos! Do have any comments on your decision to use Romex versus Marine triplex or Tray Cable? When you look online for tiny house/travel trailer construction, you see a lot of people talking about work hardening from vibration and thus the need to use stranded wire. Obviously Romex is way easier to work with though. Currently building my tiny, which looks SOOO similar to yours lol. Dealing with this question. Thanks!

Could I just wire my whole tiny home with 12G wire? Why even use 14G?

Why the nickel gap? Shiplap is called that because it's how they used to build ships. It made it waterproof being tightly connected.

Very good tutorial. Thank you for doing it. I have an old house; which was inherited, with shiplap wood siding. Painted white. Hurricane Helene blew through and knocked over MANY trees, one of them landing on my house, along with siding being ripped off and broken where the electrical wire was attached. I am not an experienced carpenter. I am a woman alone with a lot of work ahead. It is great to be alive! I began assessing the damage, only to find that there was wood rotting and dry under that white paint. So, i just started tearing it all off the house, replacing insulation, rotten framework was shored up with 2x4's. I tore off the old black moisture barrier, too. Hung vinyl underlayment as a new barrier, because i had some already. Now, i was about to hang plywood on top of that n just paint it white until i can afford to buy shiplap. Now, i know how to hang it when i get to that phase. I really appreciate being able to watch someone else do the work, along with giving information regarding the tools, etc.

I like it. I would have the gap under the sill plate instead though because your not going to see it on the underside, but you will see it if gaped between the top of the sill plate.

I have a 33" camper flatbed trailer with two axles at 3500lbs each. It has a camper on it right now, but I was wondering if that was good enough for a tiny home, maybe if I used 2x3's instead of 2x4, I saw a couple using that lumber for theirs.

I wish someone would produce a video showing the installation of sill pan flashing for a replacement window in an existing rain screen stucco wall opening. It’s easy to do in new construction, but a challenge in existing construction.

Just a question, if the boards were wet when weaving, would it cut down on breakage by making them more bendable or are you just asking for more problems? I love your explanation and video. I would love to do this as fencing in my front yard but I am afraid of children deciding to climb it and breaking the boards!

When using the vertical PT plywood batten strips, shouldn't they be spaced away from the window trim to prevent capillary attraction of water between the batten strip and the window trim? I'm thinking maybe placing the batten strip about 1/4" away from the window trim to prevent any water from being trapped against the window trim and eventually causing decay of the trim. Great video- thank you!

I've been doing construction from foundations to roof tops, renovations and so forth and this gent has nailed every possible thing in regards to layout, set up, materials, tools, what most do not understand or get that the more you plan ahead and organize your parts and materials and tools the easier the job will be, and he also nailed tr extra protection issues only thing concerns me is hot water PEX and just regular PEX are two different heat ranges, yes a tiny house does not generate the heat in water temp like a foundation house but always make sure that you get the highest heat range possible for your PEX, and also by doing like this gent did and follow the studs versus the bends to your plumbing like shower controls is great cause a many leaks are caused by stress on the fittings and that's even in copper pipes also, so yes great job with video and honestly this what all builders should do ! Keep it honest and real ! Thanks for the video

Weaken the small support walls with holes. How are you going to keep the pipes from freezing so close to the out side wall. They don't even do that in trailer house or campers. Were do you get 60s abs pipe. Why not pvc dwv?

As a tec student one of the things we did in competition is build ultra light campers. I and friend build a pickup camper so light, two men could lift it out. And it slept 5. No bathroom but sink stove oven icebox water tank heater propane . No hot water tank It is insulated with 2 inch styrofoam, aluminum framing and most inside outside walls and roof. Wind became a problem trying to lift it out of pickup. Yours seems to me maybe an over kill. How heavy are you at this point?

I like that you tell about the products and everything like that instead of just showing how to install them. So many people. You think you're going to get to watch a video to learn and understand more about the products and what's the best choice but you don't get that you get mostly. This is how you install it and if you do get somebody who's telling you something about the products it's extremely vague. I've been trying to figure out for an electric stove doing a exhaust fan that actually pulls the air out of the house. One that's good for a tiny home Aunt. It's just crazy

Thanks for all of the great videos ~Curious how much the trailer naturally compresses with the weight of the tiny home on it if at all. I'm wondering if I have the freedom to go over my max height by 1" for part of a skylight curb and can rely on the fact that the weight of the tiny home on the trailer will compress the leaf springs by that amount. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

I like the trim detail, but am curious why you decided to use Vycor flashing tape? Doesn't the bitumen base react poorly with Tyvek? I also just don't love how much less sticky Vyvor is than other modern flashing tapes, especially the acrylic and butyl options.

Have you framed before. No king studs or header at windows . Do you realize that it will go thru a 3.5 earthquake going down the road. You need headers and web plates Need a t band on the stud walls for support. i see so many structural efficiencies

Great video, covers everything I needed - except one "tiny" detail. I am doing a faux board-and-batten style using ACX plywood and then battens. Would I use furring vertical wood furring strips or vertical Cor-a-vent? Keep making these videos and a big thank you!
