You had to purchase the hints through watching ads so I still say this is a legitimate record; my record is 13!

do you think that anyone can be red with hard practcing?
@PHCuberАй бұрын
I don’t think anyone can be red, since by definition, it is the top <1% of coders! But if you don’t practice hard, there’s zero percent chance of being red, and you’ll never know whether you have a shot at it

compiling to an .exe is so cursed on macos lol also just curious, why do you have O1, O2, O3, and Ofast as pragmas? just Ofast should be sufficient I think
@PHCuberАй бұрын
oh, what do you do for Mac? I just replicated my WSL setup haha Also I just put all of the pragmas in my template code, and it works I guess!
@vincentloh9709Ай бұрын
@@PHCuber I don't use mac, I use linux :p but I usually compile to a .out file or a file without an extension, because that seems to be standard for linux executables. Not entirely sure, though :)

Would you advice this training for pupils / specialists as well?
@PHCuberАй бұрын
I’ll advise pupils / specialists to learn the basics first before starting this training method! USACO Guide (1600 needs up to Silver track) is probably the most comprehensive resource out there. After that, you can start ThemeCPs!
@JT-pq1eyАй бұрын
@@PHCuber so should I do all the questions for topics till silver listed in USACO guide for each topic, but don't you think Codeforces has more emphasis on logical thinking those type of adhoc questions rather than more ds oriented, can you do a detailed video or post on how should practise to reach expert from pupil, and ideally how much time it should take. Thanks again
@PHCuberАй бұрын
I’m quite busy due to school exams, but I’ll really say that you need the DS if you want to hit 1600 (unless you have a very strong math background). It’s really the basic set of tools you need in CP that you’ll build upon later
@Ahryno781Ай бұрын
@@PHCuber how can i have this very strong math background?
@PHCuberАй бұрын
If you do math oly and can solve IMO problems (even P1/P4), then you already have a very strong math level! But if you want to get above 1900, you really need to know the basic data structures

is writing down these notes while solving important ? how far this helps? and this or a whiteboard with marker better

Yes, writing notes / scratchwork work is definitely important unless you’re at the level where you can mindsolve every problem! I never tried using whiteboard though
