This was a great era of the Mahavishnu Orchestra. I don't think the self titled release gets as much attention as the earlier 70's albums but there are some great burnin tracks on there. This also may have been the last year Cobham performed with John

Tremendous talents but godawful music. Billy loses a stick about 3.20 too, possibly in empathy for the broken bass string.
