I remember this song as a B side of some cd single I bought back in '93. It's been awhile since I played it but still stands as a very inspirational & underrated Paul McCartney song

Funnily enough that Lennon and Harrison met The Lovin’ Spoonful at The Marquee in 18th April, 1966 and the track influenced Paul to make “Good Day Sunshine” in the Revolver album!

This sounds like an overdubbed session. Pauls bass is clearly "Two of Us" i know they were doing this then but..

You are my sunshine My only sunshine You make me happy When skies are gray You'll never know, dear How much I love you Please don't take My sunshine away The other night, dear As I lay sleeping I dreamed I held you In my arms When I awoke, dear I was mistaken So I hung my head and cried You are my sunshine My only sunshine You make me happy When skies are gray You'll never know, dear How much I love you Please don't take My sunshine away

That's how a perfect song comes to fruition. Isn't that cool to watch Paul directing every freaking section? The lyrics were still not complete, he was winging it. This was the best song on that album no contest.
