Sorry, but tassels can be made in all sizes. But 4 inches wide and 3 inches long is a nice size for a regular tassel.

Thank you so much for this tutorial!! My husband asked me to make him a bag and wanted a zippered pocket in the gusset! Since I've never done pockets like that before, I convinced him that a cargo pocket may be easier for him - and me!! This was the perfect tutorial for this project! I'm glad I found you!! Keep making them!

Thank you so much for this video--I am a pretty seasoned sewer but new to bag making and especially new to what has come out in the past 5-10 years. I'm planning to make a bag for my art supplies to take with me on trips and so on, and as I plan the various pockets and straps/hardware I'll need the information you've shared will be so helpful! I've subscribed, and I'll be going back through your videos for more ideas--Thanks again!

Whaf fabric are you using? Is it vinyl or treated with interfacing? You don't mention this.

Hi Mamaroza. On this bag, I use regular vinyl, cork and glitter vinyl.

I live in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea and it's very hard to find the right tools and accessories. Never done online shopping and not quite confident to do right now. Thank you. I've made small totes and bags, nothing complicated. I would love to make small cross body bags for sale as people now have so many gadgets to carry. I was making a roll-top backpack and the outside zipper pocket pattern did not have a proper lining - it just opened to the exterior bag material itself. This is the tutorial I needed to make a proper outside zipper pocket. Thank you!

Excellent video to help us beginner bag-makers. I believe you covered everything in the one video. I especially liked that you separated these tools into what's necessary and what want to have. Your comment about the seam ripper made me laugh so hard, I had to stop the video. I have that kind of relationship with mine.. lol (hopefully I'll improve).

Thank you for watching my videos... Honestly, unless you become the next famous bag designer with some great new innovative design that every woman wants, you won't get rich. Not by doing crafts and making things. Material is so expensive, hardware is expensive, and getting paid for all your time is hard. So rich? No. Far from it. I am making patterns and am selling them on Etsy and my own website. I am making $100 a month on those. I live in the Bahamas, and KZbin doesn't consider The Bahamas to be a country worth monetizing, so I never get paid for any views on my videos. I think you need views in the millions to make good money from KZbin anyway...But keep looking! You might come up with something brilliant. Never give up!
