I have a Juice 15, I weigh 80 kg, what size board should I buy if I want to sail in winds from 8-15 knots? PS, I wouldn't want a light-wind board, but a Freeride board

How many knots? Was that the 13 or 15?
@blubb9004 Жыл бұрын
He says it in the video: 13qm and 9mph which is ~7.77kn so ~8knots.

i want to record one more video when you will ride race mikelab windsurf board without sail. Are you open for this?
@drbfitk3662 жыл бұрын
Curious which board you were riding for video. Quick glance, it looks like a Duotone select textreme.

Awesome video, so well done! Riding well describing flight characteristics of kite, power, stability, etc. Your enthusiasm is contagious !

Recommendation for someone 230-240lbs on kite?
@offthehookkiteboarding23572 жыл бұрын
Thanks for leaving a comment. I will need a little more information to give you the best answer though. Do you know the average wind speed for the area you’ll be riding in?

I had same question. I'm 6'4" and for me to be under 200lbs I got to be pretty skinny.

Thanks for the quick look. Have you tried the 13m vs the 15m? I tend to favor a smaller kite but as a 170lb rider on a twin tip in San Diego (and occasionally Belmont Shore) who likes to mow the lawn I'm wondering if the 15m might be the best choice?

Are there any FLAT water spots nearby Huntington beach??
@offthehookkiteboarding23573 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately we don't have flat water conditions in our area. Most California kiters in search of flat water go up to Sherman Island near San Francisco. If you're limited to just kiting here your best bet for somewhat light chop is in Belmont Shore. Hope this helps!

Fun vid! What strap is that in the beginning on your GoPro?
@offthehookkiteboarding23573 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The mount I was using in the video is called a CHOMP mount. It's a mouth piece with a rubber necklace. I like using it for first person perspective shots while having the ability to take it off and hold it. Great for making fun videos like this one!

Good content but the wind noise is really high, difficult to watch and hear. Perhaps adding audio later might've helped.

Very complete instructions! Yes, many more kiting days if you can do light winds! www.RideUpWind.com has deep twintip fins that holds an edge while keeping your board flat for more surface area to keep you up in light winds! Amazing!

I am struggling learning to foil with my no-volume board because the weight of mast & wing makes it sink under water too easily, especially when preparing it for waterstart or trying to get up in lighter winds... i guess a board with some 10 - 20 l volume would be much better for the beginning...

Hi I need your help. I want to buy a Duotone Evo 2020 and I am between 10m and 11m. I need this kite from 12-20 knots. I am 66 kilos with the equipment on and I own also a Neo 7m. So I will have a two kites quiver. Which is the best size for me ?
@dovereesserico78614 жыл бұрын
Hi If I can advise you, I would choose a 10, it has a very wide windrange: from 13 to 31 knots. I'm not sure but the weight of the kiter should usually be without equipment, if so you would weigh less than 66 kg and a 9 would be more adequate but if you are intermediate, which I think, a 10 will also be fine. My Neo 12 is not very good for jumps so this winter I will buy a evo 10 too, trying to progress and cover higher winds, and I weigh 68 kg without equipment 😁🤟🏼
