In the example demonstrated, should not selling price variance be 400 $ adverse?? Because (150 - 155) * 80 = -400

Unlike cost, a higher selling price means more revenue or money for a business. Hence, a higher selling cost results in a favourable selling price variance.

Revised standard price, if not given, can be calculated as revised budgeted total purchase price / revised budgeted quantity
