@beyondfur yes, I don't have any videos of mountain lions on youtube but they are here as well. Definately more bears then people where I am. This is why we have the Gampr dogs. We free range chickens on 5 acres and have never seen a predator in our yard and have never lost a chicken to a predator.

Sure, an email would be much faster then making a video...I can take some pics. When drilling the saw blade, remwmber it is hardened steel, and my hole does not line up in the center of the blade.

Its a great machine, overall I have no regrets with it 450hrs now. It just goes. I would reccomend buying an extra hose just to have it. ($20) then going to home depot buying a piece of sheet metal, and drillimg a hole in uaing the lowest loader bolt xto hold it inplace then bend a 90 in it. Mine looks ghetto but has been used many times. Thanks for watching, I have lots of 574 videos

Tree Farmer brake master cylinder is the same as the one used on some Ford trucks of that era. Last time I checked both the master cylinder and small brake cylinder in the drum were still available new but it took some searching to come up with the correct Raybestos part numbers. I redid mine in the late 90's...still works but have to add fluid now and again.
@Mountaintoptractor23 күн бұрын
@greatnorthernn-3154 I figured out that the issue wasnt the master cylinder, the arm that comes off the back of the brake pedal arm, dropped off the plunger on the master cylinder completely so the brake pedal was literally sitting on the firewall, I corrected this by drilling a hole in the dash and putting a bolt through it and double nutted both sides to hold it in place so the brake pedal can only come out just far enough to disengage with no slop. This keeps the rod held on the plunger. I believe the brake master, and cluth master are the same thing. I replaced the clutch master with Dorman I got o. Amazon for $60, then discovered they make rebuild kits for them after the fact. Currently waiting on a rebuilt transmission, mine moves but pops out of first when pulling a load climbing the hills here, I believe I used 8 of my 9 lives on that popping out of gear. So I'm waiting on a rebuilt one. Thanks for watching. I recently started posting content again.

Tree Farmer C5 B series. Probably built between 1965 - 1967. Gearmatic 19 winch and 8 hole wheels. Nice shape for a B series. Someone did a nice job shoring up the original canopy. I still own a C5 C series. There are some differences between the 2.
@Mountaintoptractor23 күн бұрын
@greatnorthernn-3154 the serial number says a 66 C5D. I can't say I know the differences between them, just what the number on the tag under the dash says. I had a 55hp tractor before this, so I am definately learning as I go. My grandpa was a logger for decades in the Midwest. I ended up on top of a mountain in Colorado so I'm just starting to get into equipment now, a bit late in life. I must say the tree farmer is by far my favorite, the power of the old machine is just increadible. I got the skidder from a guy a few hours west of me in Colorado, he had it for decades as a back up, or rarely used it. He had motor rebuilt, winch rebuilt, did allot of stuff. When I got it, I changed every fluid on the machine, new belts alternator, new hour meter, new mainline, a list a mile long of maintence stuff. I enjoy it because of how simple it is to work on.

@@Mountaintoptractor I've never seen a date stamped on a Tree Farmer tag but that doesn't mean much. If you have a clutch master cylinder and a long vertical steering lever it's a "B" series guaranteed. The "C" and "D" series all had mechanical clutch linkage and a short steering lever that mounted under the dash.
@Mountaintoptractor22 күн бұрын
@greatnorthernn-3154 The date tag I was referring too is the serial number, it is located under dash, if I remember correctly on the passenger side. The serial number incorporates the year the machine is built, mine is 66. I do have a long verticle shaft to steer with and a master cylinder. However worth noting, these machines get allot of Frankenstein parts etc. On them from previous owners.
