I recently got the 74 lbs set. Bought a cheap set of chain collars on Amazon and some extra carabiners so I can get more chain on the ground in the hole and still get maximum weight at lockout.

Can you comment on 1 handed walks, and if the other side of the weighthorn, where theres is like a small round metal piece, that potentially grind against the leg, because of imbalance, is actually causing discomform. Or maybe because the area is low enough, it does not touch the leg. Thanks
@tworepcave
@tworepcave 11 ай бұрын
I think any independently handed devices like this are likely to hit your leg doing one handed walks unless you adjust your body position somehow to prevent it.
@silasgroenning
@silasgroenning 11 ай бұрын
@@tworepcave its oki that a metal surface touch the legs (been using waterjugs for about a year now and its find, because theres nothing to grind against) but specifcly on that handle you got, theres is the round thing, like the “start of the weighthorn on the side facing the leg” and that would be painfull to grind on the outside of the leg. But because its position is low enough, i would guess its position would be about where the shinbone is. And because the hands will be on outside of the thicker upper leg, i suspect it to be allright, as there would be enough space to have instability. So since you actually got these, and i am thinking on buying a pair, i wondered if you could giev me specific feedback on this exact. Thank you for quick response✌️

Thanks for the review. I actually have those straps. The higher end version ones. Aside from the leg banging, rubbing etc. It's often tedious to load and unload. I haven't even touched the cleaning aspect of it. These are great. I'm actually looking for alternatives for rickshaw and a hex bar. Aside from dead lifts I think these have things covered.

I am looking to get this machine so I'm watching all the reviews I can find. I have not seen anybody else have that problem of it stopping short, I think U might have put it together wrong, Sorry to tell U that but not one review mentioned that problem. Thnkx for the review and I hope U get it fixed.

Benjamin got the 51 lb set (total weight), but the rule of thumb is to get at least 10% of the max weight you intend to lift. Good question! I'll add a note below the video about this.

Get the Hammer Strength one if you can afford it. I bought the Titan Fitness one and regret buying it. You get variable resistance with the Titan Fitness one and you get smooth consistent resistance with the Hammer Strength throughout the motion.

Preacher curls are way overrated. They place undue stress on the insertions at the elbow. Developing biceps peak is not dependent on positions; just choose the exercise(s) that allow you to train intensely and progressively with as much weight in perfect form and joint comfort. Preacher or "concentration" curls, however popular (I used to do them, but I gained great peak in spite of them not because of them, and did far better, with more mass and no joint discomfort or strain using better more intelligent but less glamorous training exercises), are not efficient in the least. Better to do pull-ups, and if needed then include something like incline dumbbell curls that place your biceps in a much stronger and safer position, provided you do them correctly. Peak is purely genetic anyway- you either got it or you don't. Train for muscle mass, and do it safely and long term as long as you live.

I took a resiprocating saw and cut the end off at the little rubber pad and then sanded and grinder smooth and repainted it and it now works as it should. It’s a very easy fix, you will be pleased.

I just got the machine yesterday (06/24/2021) despite some of the reviews. Very glad I did as I think I fixed the non existent lack of range of motions for triceps without any modifications at all. I see everyone doing the triceps exercise with the handle in a different position than doing biceps. No. Leave it in the same position and push forward. This gives 6 more inches of range of motion. My initial worry was that by applying pressure for moving the weight the handle would flip forward - it does not. It works perfect. This doesnt mean that didnt Titan flub this machine -- they did, but the triceps problem has an easy fix.

I use to own one, but I gave it to my adult middle son for free because I didn't like it. Titan Fitness makes a lot of good fitness equipment but in my opinion this isn't one of them. The Titan plate loadable seated dip machine, which also allows you to do curls, high pulls, and rows, is much better in my opinion-- even though I push down as low as possible to make the triceps exercises much harder.

Do you notice any slack/play between where the handles are and when the weight is loaded? Seems like when I grab the handles there is some play at the start of the movement but it’s good once I’m repping. Figured it might be designed that way.

Thanks for the review. Stupid me after training for 45 f---ing years almost got hoodwinked by the idea of a machine for biceps! You hit me upside the head bak to normal. For anyone who absolutely positively must have a machine to work something as simple AF as biceps, just get a simple standing 90 degree preacher bench. Better yet stick to chins and regular curls with dbs or bbs. KISS.
