Bichebugg I share the same sentiments, the school is not wholly responsible for this child's demise... For four years running up and down to the school and nothing was done and no more efforts were made to seek help through other sources was a grave error on the part of the parents, you cannot put the entire blame on the school... There are so many agencies that help could have been sourced.. Police, media, Childline, what about a transfer to another school, school supervisors , Ministry of education Head offices, Home schooling through the MOE, Children Authority, Child Protection Unit... and others, Stop the Blame Game...

In the last 5 yrs I’ve experienced a lot of intense bullying but people 20-30 yrs younger than me I try not to have work conflicts which is where I was/am experiencing bullying when I addressed them calmly it got worse I have had to resolve to reporting it to my supervisor and HR all I can say in my case I believe it’s pure jealousy we’ve raised a generation of people with no manners at all

I’ll just address all comments here with a general response. I think everyone in Jayden’s circle had a duty of care and responsibility to protect him, which includes his parents. However, we didn’t live under their roof and therefore, we don’t know. We don’t have all the facts and for that we should be channeling our emotions and actions in the right way. A life was lost and perhaps they took it for granted that he would always remain strong. I think that grief and regret alone would take care of the blame sharing, just as much as we want the justice system to prevail.

Why no justice ? If this had happened in another country it would have had justice ( remember George Floyd ) justice was served and the officer was found guilty and sent to prison , the problem is we complain and quarrel for 5 years and still dont demand justice or vote for change , this country will remain the same until we make the change and stand up against wrongdoing

Our laws are weak. Many people don’t feel there’s appropriate channels must less the recourse and punitive measures. So we’re set up to fail from the outset. If we don’t have laws that make bullying a crime then we’re already on a shaky foundation which hasn’t evolved with the times.

This may sound very very heartless but i am sick and tired of hearing that the school should have done better or the teachers and principal is to be blamed for this kid killing himself ..WHAT THE HELL WAS HIS PARENTS DOING FOR 4 YEARS ?? Honestly, it was my Dad that forwarded me the email and then somebody also recommended that I go due to what the event was for. I’m so glad I went because it was good vibes, but also very productive business wise as well. I also didn’t realize they put on so many events and I will definitely make the effort to go for more of them.

Funny enough, I usually don’t refer to him as Doctor and did so today. Like it or not, he earned his Doctorate a long time ago and is afforded the privilege of being referred to as one. That’s not a me issue, so you’d need to direct your concerns to the education system on that one. Notice I didn’t refer to him by his full title which includes “The Honourable”, and he is also afforded the privilege of being referred to as such. Let’s focus on the actual issue here, which is our coat of arms and the tax dollars being thrown at the procurement to change a piece of our nation’s history.

I'm analyzing an wondering something right, how much money does the government gets back in T&T for all the deaths an, break in it's having why? My analyzation is like the government is getting a lot of money that's why, they haven't put proper measures in place to safeguard their citizens. Because they aren't doing anything at all probably they want the government to be overthrown back in 1990 to make it look like a real money shortage when they stole almost all the money. I can be over thinking the way the run that twin island and not doing anything.
