Yes, it's sad how few people decide not to be authentic on KZbin. But to those of us who do, it is a great way turning a hobby into a career while entertaining people who are interested. I really enjoy seeing the comic/magazine pick ups. They are a twat to keep though aren't they😂 take up loads of space and don't really look like anything 🤷 It's a shame you're running out of space, putting some titles you won't play into storage sounds like a good idea though👍

Agreed, it's not right when they let punters in and you're setting up. Not cool but glad you did ok. I was in two minds with Norwich as Ricky Bowtell is a nice fellow and a great host sadly I haven't done as well as I'd had liked when I went to Brighton in the summer and it's the same kind of deal with that after 2 hours it was dry. I remember reading someone complaining that there were only 10 traders at the last Norwich one you went to. That being said I wish Ricky well. It's not all bad as you get exposure when you go to these places, I might have not done well at Brighton but people who remembered me bought from me at London so thats that. Well you be at Leeds Feb 2nd? I'm in two minds as for me it comes down to what the weather is like.

Those guides were a bargain! I love those things, used to have stacks of them, whittled them down so I only have them for my fav games now, but they’re awesome to flick through! Got to admit, I don’t miss the days of having to re arrange my shelves every few months to accommodate all my new purchases! I considered the sliding shelf racks at one point like they have in libraries, not cheap but best use of space! “It’s not a gaming room, it’s a game library” I like that 😂. I saw a solution once that made the games look cool to display and made good use of space but I don’t think your shelving would be wide enough, good mate of mine used to put a row of forward facing games that he wasn’t fussed for against the wall then the average games spine out in front of those, then his favs forward facing at the front. Probably easier to love mate 😂

Interesting collection. You have everything but also nothing, what a quandary you find your self in with the lack of space. I would keep those sport titles especially with the Mega Drive as they are very much part of the collection as much as any other Game. Perhaps it’s best to take out the superfluous items in the room such as the India Jones items and put them elsewhere as it’s confusing the rooms purpose as a games library and the ironing board I don’t comprehend why that is even there.

Sounds like some fab folk from the toy community turned up 👍. Dave (vintage toy rush) is a blooming legend; an absolute gent with a great collection. I haven’t attended a toy fair yet but that early entry thing seems to be the norm. Very odd indeed; I’m thinking of doing Sandown and it’s all “tickets at the door” as opposed to online. Good to hear the toy show went down well for lizard retro, always going to be a worry incase it didn't go well when it's a new style of event, I don't like that way of letting early birds in whilst your setting up though, sounds a bit awkward tbh. Norwich gaming market sounds like a good one, being in a shopping centre is a novel idea, glad you was happy with your take. Your room was always going to be a store room type of thing due to its epic proportions lol you said its exactly as you planned, had to be because of the sheer numbers involved, it had to be spines showing, I love to see game box artworks like Craig's recent tour and his bank of systems but your collection is exempt from that type of thinking and working, you've your systems used for testing stock/your games and your switch for actually playing games so your sorted, shame your going to have to possibly warehouse a load, you'll work out the best way forward for tootys library 👍

Hope you had a good christmas and new year's stu. This is the first pick ups ive watched in a while and what a belter. 100% right about the hobby being a personal journey. I'm having a slim down to what i consider the essentials so i'm somewhat going the other way. Don't get me wrong, if i'd started collecting a decade earlier i'd be trying to full set everything. But by going minimal i can be fussier about condition where possible and bite the bullet on ebay prices. Agree on the earthbound sentiment, it's a very decent copy which has been played and used like it should. All the best for 2025 mate 🍺

Great video as always. I love and collect for the wii, so I really enjoyed those pick ups. The Core Gang is a hard one to find in the UK. I looked for a copy for a long while and eventually found it during a trip to Germany. When I was building my collection I got a lot of deals from mainland Europe, so it's always worth a look.

No idea why I’m watching this but it brought back some good memories 😂! I never included Thunder Force 3 as part of the pal set, I had the French manual version but it was still an American game in my eyes! Great set of games this one!

Disappointed to hear about the Nottingham one. I am trying to find some local stores/fares for retro games specifically (in in Warwickshire) so was hoping Nottingham would be good as it’s only 1hr from here. Any other recommendations for local places?

In the UK, can you use the adapter that comes with it, along with a US>UK plug adapter (since it’s 110/240v so should work)? I am about to order a Duo so wondering if I can do that? I did the same for the OSSC as the AC adapter from the US was 110/240, just needed the plug converter which I got from Amazon Edit- I missed this part of the video and that’s exactly what you did :)

Great video stu! Some very nice additions there. I’m loving the nes myself and a good way into the n64 but not fully sure how far into it, more than half way I believe.
