Hey man should this be the same location for 2011 accord v6 ? Since they are the same generation?
@nukem384
@nukem384 23 сағат бұрын
I would think so. They shouldn't be changing anything like that within the same generation, especially since this part is connected to the tranny.

@nukem384 I'm glad you responded can you please help me out with one more question I can't figure out the correct part number. 28610-R36-004 28600-R36-004 I see these two different part numbers when it comes 3rd gear pressure switch. I have a 2011 accord v6 and have seen you use one switch and another youtube video using the other part number. Do you have any input?

@@shadowman1992 One might just be an updated part number, but they might still both work? What I would do is find the part for the 2011 online, like from an Honda dealership part department online. And see what part number comes up for your 2011. Use that part number.

It should. I don't use Apple maps, so I haven't tested. But I don't see why not. That's more an iOS thing at that point than Google vs. Apple. I just checked, and you should be able to.

I changed my GFCI outlet and it’s now working in that spot but all the other additional plugs connected downstream to it are not functioning. Why would that be?
@nukem384
@nukem384 Күн бұрын
2 things. 1. Did you make sure that the wiring downstream is hooked up to the load side of the GFCI? 2. Do you have another GFCI downstream from this one that might be tripped? Make sure to test/reset all GFCI's on this circuit, including the one you said is working which I assume is the upstream GFCI.

Hi can i ask, is it possible to just put the whole trestle under the table before drilling to test the stability? Cos im gonna buy a custom rubberwood table, ans thinking of placing the trestle as far out as possible but still somewhat stable enough to hold 170cm table, another side will be held by a alex drawer. Reason for the testing is i want space as much as possible in between alex drawer and trestle to move to and fro between 2 laptops😅...
@nukem384
@nukem384 2 күн бұрын
You could probably make that work if you don't have the trestle on the lowest settle. Even if that's what you wanted, you could mount it into your table first and then just turn the whole table upside down to put the trestle on. Just a little more hassle, but I think that'd be doable.

Why people on KZbin keep saying using a regular 14-50 to charge a Tesla will burn the house down ?That is crazy. I have been using it for last 2 years with zero issue. Nema 14-50 can handle 50ams . Tesla mobile charger only draws 32ams at max
@nukem384
@nukem384 2 күн бұрын
You should search on Google. There's only like a million threads about dryer outlets melting. So maybe because you aren't drawing the "full" 40a, you might be ok on the mobile. But people also use that same dryer outlet with a Grizzl-e or Chargepoint Home Flex that pulls 40a. Your house, your risk. But for an extra $40 for an outlet that for sure won't melt and start a fire, it's worth it to me.

I was deactivated for a few days when a passenger on one of the two rideshare driver platforms I use reported: “The driver’s car was rusty and unsafe.” It’s true I have a small spot of rust on one fender, it was on the car when I purchased it. It’s not true there is visible rust anywhere else on the car and my car is 100% safe. It did take three days of back and forth with the rideshare company’s support organization to get reactivated. I had to be persistent while being polite and professional and their were multiple opportunities for me to get side-tracked based on some of the responses I received from support but I stayed focused on my goal of being reactivated and yet no good news luckily I saw a review about and expert I searched and sent him a dm to get me reactivated and I’m happy I’m back on the road. At the top of my comment you’ll see the name and where to contact him . . .

I’m guessing that you can check the health of your lead battery in older teslas the old fashioned way with a volt meter across the terminals? After having experienced a failure I am determined never to get caught by surprise again

Yup. A Tesla is still a car. Volt meter will work for lead acid.

Something I learned while my wife was traveling through Arizona recently, I started noticing charge times were taking really long (like 50KW max). She also had trouble keeping the cabin cool. I occurred to me the car was trying to cool the battery. With ambient temps at 116F, the car was working hard to keep the batt cool (we have the M3 RWD LFP). Energy use was high, and charge times were slow. Once she got out of that heat, things returned to normal. My suggestion is to trip plan around extreme heat, by choosing to travel in the early morning or late at night through areas where it's crazy hot like that.

One other trick you can use when DCFC is put a cool towel over the charger handle. This will help the stall charge your car a bit faster.

I just cleaned ours, four of them have only been up 2 weeks and 6 weeks for the other four. They were all totally covered with dirt much more than I would have expected but it also hasn't rained in a month. Just sprayed 90% of the dirt off with the hose like that then dried them with a soft towel. Sun is just going behind our trees now so I won't get to see if it made any difference until tomorrow.

In Ontario Canada, if you are more than 80 km from the Tesla Service Centre, you will not get service from Tesla Mobile Van. Living further meant finding a Centre that wis willing to work on electric car. In my situation, I arranged for the car dealership to bring a tire in from Québec which took 3 days. Tesla dealership was 172 km.. We bought Tesla car recently to help reduce our carbon footprint. But... having to transport a tire from Quebec which is over 1000 km, versus having Tesla mobile come which is from a shorter distance, makes me feel abandoned and betrayed by Tesla. Local Tesla service dealership doesnt pick up the phone. The roadside assistance are wonderful and resourceful. Did I mention that that service is out of Utah Colorado???? And that the local Tesla service department doesn't answer phones??? Life for a senior can be difficult enough without having to encounter such frustration.

What year is your Model Y? Mine is 2023, and I use your technique to check mine out of curiosity. I don't see what you showed. I see a 12v battery icon. However, it was blanked out, inactive. I touched it, and nothing happened.
@nukem384
@nukem384 6 күн бұрын
2022. 2 things I can think of. I wonder if Tesla switched back to lead acid batteries. If so, that's why it'd be blanked out in your case. This only works for the lithium ion 12v. Or, Tesla has seen so many people do this, that they disabled it in whatever update.

What do upstream/downstream outlet mean?
@nukem384
@nukem384 7 күн бұрын
When we talk about that, the outlet that's closer to the breaker box is the upstream outlet. Any outlet after that outlet on the same circuit is considered downstream.

i couldnt pull the trigger on r1s.. the main reason i need all that extra storage is for road trips but the r1s is a slower road tripper than the Y in most distances.. there is a small niche of distances the r1s is better but both as a daily driver (large efficiency difference) and a long road trip the r1s is inferior to the Y and almost twice the price.. i just couldnt justify it.. would love for someone to change my mind

Just a note - you do not have to remove the cover just to adjust the chain tension. Just "loosen" the allen bolt then you can adjust the tension by turning the adjusting screw. Don't forget to re-tighten the allen bolt. I could see removing the cover once the job is complete to clean all the sawdust and oil from underneath the cover. Another tip - if the bar oil is gravity fed it will continue to drip when the saw is not in use - I usually empty the oil before putting the saw up when I am done.

Don’t waste money on a wheel dolly. The typical way to load in the tire is using the crow bar for leverage under the wheel. Very easy, efficient, and cost effective way to place the wheel back in.

I have a TESLA model Y. Want to know on average, how long do the brakes last before need a change ? Do front brakes wear faster than the rear? Usual in conventional car, front brake wear out faster due to increased weight of engine. when should you bleed brake of the TESLA?
@nukem384
@nukem384 15 күн бұрын
Front brake pads are always going to wear out faster because the car gets thrown forward when stopping. More stress on the front of the car. This is why in all cars, the front calipers/pads are always bigger. Brake fluid should be changed every 2-3 years. Doesn't matter what car. DOT 3 brake fluid is all the same.

Something worth considering is the price electricity at various times. If you have a short window of off peak rates they you want to get the most out of that time period with a Tesla wall charger adding 40 miles of range per hour. Do the math to see what’s best.

Some utilities offer very attractive off peak rates like 8 cents per kw but that window may only last for 4-6 hours overnight. Perfect time to add 200 miles of range.
