yea its a key detail musicians pick up, i keep coming back to this album specifically because the writing is so good this song specifically, its pretty and sad sounding at the same time its melacholic and beautiful, bitter sweet and elegant , he is singing about drug addiction and i think the instrumental writing fits that perfectly, its like a waltz between heaviness and melodic , and in the parts where its pretty hes screaming which is contrasting, but then it switches to clean vocals
