Out of the bag , set up in a rainforest with light to medium rain . Will i and and stuff get wet?. Or will a tarp over the top be the best option?. I use a $14 kmart tent woth a tarp underneath and over the top. I just want a tent that is waterproof out of the bag . And no tarp over the top .

Thanks for the review. Through out the whole video I was waiting to see only one thing. How much room it has under the front section of the fly. Because it is very important to me keeping my boots and the pack out side the sleeping area but still nice and dry. Also in rainy weather that small area helps to keep a small stove and cook something without burning through the floor. Very important not to miss small but important details like that.

Ahah ) but many ads show it in the sea and say nothing about it… I bought 1003 and i was totally disappointed :( now I changed it to 1010… 1010 has 4 drain holes maybe it will be better option for quiet sea….

Let's water out through holes,self bailing.most sit on tops have them.you can get scupper plugs if you want but designed to let out the water that sit on tops naturally get in as you paddle.

I bought one of these for $150 over 4 years ago. I'm 170cm and 73kg. I added rod holders to the centre and sides. I only ever take it to a small pond about 400m from my place and have caught plenty of redfin on it. It's easy to drag on a trolley. I wouldn't take it to big lakes or rough waters. Its short length makes it easy to store standing up in my garage.

Great vid. I was just given a Seaflo SF-1003 for free with frayed side handles, missing bung and plug things that go through the hull, so not bad with some light beaching scuffing on the underside of the bow. Can the little storage hole be sealed better or don't bother and just use a tiny drybag? Funny thing is that I thought that the holes through the hull were supposed to be open full time because my wife's 12 footer fishing kayak was second hand and didn't have any plug things. Regards, Jas. VK4FJGS Rocky Qld
@dismaldog
@dismaldog Жыл бұрын
you could try to seal it better with rubber ring or similar,yes they are usually open as they are self bailing kayaks.You can plug holes but when water gets on deck it cannot drain out

Thanks for taking the time to review the sweet little tent. I'm getting back into adventure riding with my Honda CB500X and the tent looks ideal for MC Camping. Especially as it's on sale today for 24 hours only, for just $79.00 AUD. Just a bit of an update: Have set the same tent up for the first time today Thank you for the video once again as without it I would have struggled on how the supporting "roof" rods work! My tent came with next to no instructions, so my first attempt was a failure and so aging for my second attempt. It was only after re-watching your video that I finally worked out that the rods that run through the top FRONT INNER SEAM are then anchored back to the REAR tent pegs and the rods that run through the BACK INNER SEAM are anchored back to the FRONT tent pegs. Was doing my head in for a bit there! 😆 I can definitely confirm that it's possible to set up in around 5 minutes, as by the time I got it right the 3rd time, rain was starting to move in and it was starting to drizzle rain. It was a mad rush then to get the tent set up properly! Weather forecast is for thunder storms this "Easter Good Friday" afternoon. Will be interesting to see how the tent holds up in a downpour. Guess it just goes to prove that "3rd times a charm." 👍

@@numberninenumbernine148 Don't know yet. It's winter here in Australia. So, a couple of months now until I ride out for some camping in Spring. I did how ever leave the tent setup in the back yard during a good downpour of rain. When I checked it in the morning, inside was bone dry.

On special for $149 this week, that's why I checked out the video. Need to buy a paddle and vest on top so a good deal. At 8'6 it sounds longer than it is. I might keep looking at something longer yet. How much easier is a longer kayak to paddle? I've had some health problems so want some exercise but don't want to work too hard. 😁
