Masterly! (With a bit of fun added in.) The songwriter, Boris Fomin, is often forgotten for this gem, a worldwide hit for Mary Hopkin in 1968. Hard to believe his original song was actually written in 1924. Looking forward to seeing you at the Topic Folk Club soon, Daria. Will this song be on your set list? Most of us are old enough to remember 1968, if not 1924! Lol.
