Triple J in Australia was i station i used to listen to heaps when i lived there. I have a few of their music compilations. Shame that Pumpkins album was bad. My Fav. John Cougar album is " Scarecrow '. That " Lonesome Jubilee " album spawned a lot of hits in New Zealand. I think its bandmembers on that inner sleeve, as it looks like Roy Bittan from The Bruce Springsteen band on it. That Women i seem to remember in a video played some fiddle parts. I think I remember watching that " Blue Max " war movie. George Peppard from " The A-Team " starred in it.

Cool how you picked up on the mind control. I also got addicted to records and I don’t even know why . Just drawn too them . I really think records will cap out in 5 years or less . Every generation goes through this I want my stuff back or the stuff I couldn’t afford when I was 16 . So I would sell that great collection in 2.5 years . In my humble opinion or enjoy them the way you do until whenever.

Mike Campbell is the Heartbreaker's guitarist, and Benmont Tench is a keyboard player (not sure, might be a Heartbreaker, too, but he was definitely on Don Henley's album, Building The Perfect Beast). So there's Tom Petty & a couple Heartbreakers, and there's also the brother of Bernie Leadon, the original guitarist from The Eagles. I got their second album, Mudcrutch 2, from the Public Lirbrary, which was a reunion album of new songs recorded many years later.

"Rockin' Into The Night" was actually a Survivor song. I checked out Survivor's Greatest Hits from the Public Library pre-pandemic and was shocked it was a 2-disc set, because I didn't remember that many songs from Survivor. The liner notes said since .38 Special had a big hit with it, Survivor did not have a very big hit with their version.

I like "White Lightning" off from Head First.

I have found some gold in the doller bins as well. Stuff i was happy with anyway!, not for everyone. The popular song i remember for Julian Lennon was " Saltwater " , and I think it came out in the early 90's. I remember seeing that album cover you showed as well. I like L7 as they were featured on many " The Trip " compilations in New Zealand. I have seen the re-issue of " Hungry For Stink " that Music on Vinyl did. But passed on it. It is an album i want. I still can't get over the fact Old Skull got issued on vinyl... and you own it! LOL My friend bought it on cassette back then as a joke... and you are correct: there is NO way 10 year old kids wrote those lyrics themselves.... :)

Heartfelt Tribute Kevin. You did an amazing job talking about the great lady that was your mother. Nice you have some of her music to honour her with. I work in a Hospital so I am quite familiar with dementia patients, it really is not fair when this happens. My mother who died 10 years ago loved Elvis as well, what was it with Elvis and women of that 60's generation?. I probably don't want to know. Anyway condolences from my family to yours.

Nice tribute Kevin. I too lost my mom to dementia, I feel your grief! She was a great and fun loving person. Ask God to heal your heart so that you too will be joyful and true and that he will also give you strength so one day you can meet again!

Sorry to hear the loss of your Mom. It is never easy to lose loved ones. She sounds like she was an amazing person that played an important role in your music journey. I lost my Grandma last year. She also had dementia and deteriorated over years. It is very hard to see someone go through that. Especially when they mean so much to you. Take care.

They seemed to have re-produced the original album gatefolds really well. I don't feel like I have to own " Flash Gordon " as it does'nt have enough songs on it for me. I remember liking it when they played Queen " Flash ", on the recent " Flash " T.V series. Loved it!.

Elvin Bishop was the second co-lead guitar player with the Butterfield Blues Band along with Mike Bloomfield. Played at Woodstock, he left after 4 albums. The Time Life Swing series has at least 14 different releases. I know this because I also have a problem with buying cheap vinyl. I do like a fair bit of the series so it's not a terrible disease to have.

I've never been to a Walmart, however I have some of their exclusives that I got on Ebay. They always looked so appealing when other channels showed them. I think my version of " Sap " came out on a Record Store Day. I was always looking for " Jar Of Flies " to pair it up with that. So was happy when it got re-issued. Its a toss-up which Alice In Chains album will be re-released next. I'm hoping " Tripod ". Cheers Kevin.

That Sixpence record is a wonderful, jaaangly… pop. Got one other on CD, Divine Discontent. I remember that debut CD used the back of the CD as the front. Very frustrating 😄 She was like an American Tracy Tracy a bit perhaps (the Primitives). I HAVE to get that Teenage Fanclub album on vinyl as well. It is great.

That Sixpence album is great! The og is so expensive, definately a grail piece. I always loved the song Kiss Me. Too bad they didn't include the Japanese version on the album.
