Thanks for your video. I see that you showed us that you replaced the DCT filter can. However in the parts you also showed the transmission pan gasket and seal for the pan. Did you replaced that filter too? If you did, was it a pain in the neck to remove the pan? I heard you have to lift the transmission to get to a couple of bolts?

@@FIPackage Hold up was the at fault party had only $10k coverage state minimum had to go through my insurance and they didn’t want to pay for new parts they wanted me to fix the broken ones. Which I had to at least 3 of them the others are new like the door and otter panel.

@@chijen2010 Fortunately no airbags deployed or not even a broken clip or tab. New parts are here working on them. Hopefully 🤞🏼 will be good as new.

There is no way 53 IN-LBS of torque will shear off a bolt this size. I'm wondering if the bolt was torqued to 53 FT-LBS by mistake?

GM Maintenance Procedure calls for the DCT Housing threads to be cleaned with a “thread chaser” BEFORE installing the new DCT filter housing bolts. It’s because there will be old thread lock being left in the thread holes and if not cleaned out will result in over torquing of the new bolts!

curious, were you reusing the original bolts? I've noticed most of the filter kits come with new bolts for the housing and o rings for the filter housing cover and filler port. I'm wondering if the bolts have failed often enough that the new bolts are now included?

no I use the new ones I think the bolt in question could have been “defective” I mean could happen. Anyway they are not supposed to be re-used.

They both look and sound like C8 Z06. They have only realased specs of ZR1. I don't believe that's the ZR1. They have been keeping it's look so secret. I guarantee it's looks like a beast.

Love the car but I prefer the the spoiler that come with Z51 package it's the lower one and also not a fan of the black wheels. My 2023 C8 is Torch Red 2 LT with Z51 coupe so you can see the engine, it is a great car!!!

I see all these issues and I'm just grateful I stuck with the coupe lt1 aside from replacing a Brake Caliper cover...I have had zero issues

Convertibles suck , heavier and don’t handle as well as coups. Most tracks won’t let you race without a roll cage with the vert. Why would you pay 6 k more when you simply remove the top of the coup and have a convertible. Suckers born every day.

I've got 2, a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse & a C6 GS Vette. The Mitsu top does leak around the windows, BUT it does have 270,000 miles on it. The Vette, no issues .... but it's garaged & only has 14,000 miles on it. 🤷

The worst thing about dealerships is they will give out "10", 8 am appointments with only 3 mechanics back there. Then they want you to leave your car with them for the whole week over something that takes 3 hours to do... It's like a sick joke! And they are all that way!

We have a 2022 Z51 with about every upgrade that matters and a 2024 Z06 w/ the Z07 package. They are simply amazing in every aspect! I have a Ferrari F488 Pista and they are right there with it.

These are Flat “Plane Crank Cars” Keep in mind GM loves playing games. They did not say these were ZR1’s the public is saying this.. if these are indeed ZR1’s then these particular ones have Flat Plane Cranks.

@@cosmic4791 yes the C8Z06 does have the FPC. There is no confirmation that the ZR1 will though. we can cross our fingers and post that it does.
