Hold the phone... I noticed that you used the Salomon poll sleave but doesn't the pack also have the poll sleaves? Maybe you used the quiver for ease of access... Cheers!

Great vid, just for your info in Scotland “fell running” is hill running and lakes are lochs or lochans (although the water in the pentlands are reservoirs) just so you don’t get shouted at by a Scot’s man. I say this as an English man who has lived in Scotland for 20 plus years 👀😂

I've found the arm sleeves to be nice at the beginning of a race when if colder but then later it warms up and you can easily take them off and toss them in your pack. The beanie, Lomond hoodie, and pant tights looks nice too. Perfect for those cold morning runs.

@psillyrunner8650 15 күн бұрын
That’s a great idea for the arms sleeves! The Lomond hoodie is my new favorite winter piece. It’s perfect for 25-50 degrees. The tights are great too, but they can get warm quick if it’s sunny out haha

How did the Speed Ultra feel on the road? Any different than road shoes? Considering these as long run road shoes. I have the Agravic Speed and they have worked as road shoes for me really well.
@psillyrunner8650

Big difference is the weight. These are a lot heavier than most road shoes, but for a trail super shoe they do great on the roads.

Now that you have many miles in the Adidas Speed Ultra, what are your thoughts on sizing. You mentioned 1/2 size down would be better…I’m worried about down hill and hitting the toe box. Thanks for your feedback. Keep brining the great videos and vibe.

I would honestly buy something else unless you really want to try these specifically. On top of the big fit the collar really digs into my ankle. I love everything underfoot, but the upper on these is really not shaped right for me.

Rock Canyon looks like a blast. I've never been up there despite living in Provo at one point. Maybe a good one for the winter too if enough people pack down the snow... I'll have to check it out next time I'm in Utah (over spring break?).

I didn’t know you used to live in Provo! Rock canyon has always been my go to because of what you said. It’s good all winter because so many people do Squaw peak year round. Definitely a must do if you’re in the area in spring before all the higher up stuff is runnable.

Is the Distance 8 pack new to you? Usually see you running in the 4. Great views and trails as always! As for the shoe, I've really enjoyed the regular Genesis, and the S/Lab Genesis seems like a nice little upgrade.

Yeah I’ve been running in the pursuit 15 for over a year and when I was in the UK the zipper that I had super glued many times over totally ripped down the pack. Thought this would hold about as much and with no zippers I hope it last me a few seasons! And yeah the Courtney edition isn’t just a new color way on the same shoe. It’s an upgrade for sure.

For 2025, I'm looking to do Quad Rock 25 (I want to see how fast I can run this trail race which still has over 5000 ft of elevation gain), Red Feathers 50, and maybe a 100. I'm still debating what that 100 will be, but eyeing Copper Kings 100 in Montana.

Hell yeah! Never heard of red feathers 50, where’s that? I’ll know a lot better what I’ll be running next year after the lotteries happen in early December. Fingers crossed for Hardrock, but will likely be running IMTUF in Idaho and a few local things.

@psillyrunner8650 Red Feathers is in Northern Colorado, just west of Fort Collins. It's a new erase with the 50 mil er being a new addition last year, and I ran the inaugural 50k a couple years back. Sounds like you've got some good races potentially!
