I'm starting minitwins this year as a rookie and was hoping you could advise me on the correct gearing for Mallory as it's the only track I've not ridden so have no clue in to the correct sprocket choice. Thank you

BC Racing 911 that year I won I used 14/44 round mallory I did a 57.4, but 15/45 worked even better

the boys have 2 nc30's , one had 77hp with hrc cam's , ported , cam gears back lash removed , no flywheel , 4 degree advance timing , other 65 hp with no flywheel , advance timing , both total loss with with home built exhaurts

my RVF after this one had 72 bhp, but i know our engine builder had some adjustable cams (verniers) made up and we got 76 out of it, great little bikes, shame i sold them
@simoned19788 жыл бұрын
We only kept it to standard revs, but the custom end can made it scream, was a quick little bike that

That was a while ago, can't really remember how much then, but it varied from 76-79 bhp on power runs

Hi Mate, how much hp does it produce at wheel around 14k rpm. Great bike!
@tristantee818711 жыл бұрын
no quieting gears they were removed for better rev response

it was the plastic we used as the cover, it was touching and thats what caused it, soon as i got the original part on it was fine

No, HM makes the RL but the HM plus and the Annitori RL are two different products. The Annitori RL is the No Frills/No minute adjustment quickshifter where as the HM Plus has the LCD screen and multiple adjustment possibilities.
@simoned197812 жыл бұрын
fuel injected? the cost of fitting fuel injection would be obscene, as for you fitting FI HRC RVF 400's never used FI, to use fuel injection you would need something like motec to run it. After i had a different exhaust and ram air though it went upto 70 bhp
@rogase6812 жыл бұрын
Seems to shift smoothly at any rpm is that right or does it work better flat out

The rvf is heavier but the weight is exactly where it should be. The nsr250 is probably a good buddy to the rvf400. Want both in my lounge room!

@simoned197814 жыл бұрын
its a 5.25 x 17 magnesium dymag, about a kilo lighter than a standard wheel

wow nice set up bro. can u tel me what rim is u using in the rear..
@dqyler14 жыл бұрын
the upside to havin a 4 stroke though is that in this day n age theyre no where near as hard to keep in good order, try trashing an rgv 250 around for a month and see how many bills you end up with, although 2 strokes are more powerful they are much less practical and economical, i have an nc35 myself wit a few bits done, costs very little to run and is a demon on the road
@brent269114 жыл бұрын
yeh i have 2 bikes that more or less the same spec as your new bike just minus the dynamags looks. my dry bike is put out 76 hp and the wet is 72 hp with out ram air. im on the bemsee forum under speedy 66. al get video up of them this week so you can have a look
@simoned197814 жыл бұрын
im racing with emra,ng and bemsee, i wont be using this bike this year as its for sale, and looks nothing like this now, check out my other videos of how the bike looks now and also my new bike for 2010, this bike when it was finished had 70bhp

since this vid i have had it on another dyno and had some other bits done and its not reading 70.12 bhp. I got the quietening gears off, the heads ported and polished, heads and block skimmed, pistons and rods balanced, race system on it, then ive had a programmable cdi fit, im in the process of getting ram air fit with nc30 carbs, a quickshifter, quick action throttle and last but not least i'm getting a lightweight tank fit which is approx 3 kilos lighter than standard.

did the tyre fit straight on without mods ?
@PHATSo8815 жыл бұрын
i've had mine for about 10 months now and i'm quite used to the power, i saw you were putting out 63 bhp and i wonder if you could let me in on some of your mods.
@simoned197815 жыл бұрын
i never said it was a power commander, it is carburatted, but your adjusting the ignition not the fueling with the new cdi
@kamolia15 жыл бұрын
ok i understand but man the RVF is carburatted so how can u use power commander or a cdi is it fuel injected now ?? if so how can u make it !!
@simoned197815 жыл бұрын
the quietning gears have all been removed hence the rattling from the engine, the cdi is a new one ive got and its programmable, basically works like a power commander but you can do more with it, the rev limit is now 15,000 rpm
@kamolia15 жыл бұрын
where is the whining of the cam gears.. An BTW what is different about this cdi
@simoned197815 жыл бұрын
this one is a bit noisy because of the engine work i've had done and the race system on it. I turned up at a track day and the db meter read 108,
@shahsoon15 жыл бұрын
They dont have lots of power but v type engines r very stable, better then inline 4s. I had a vfr and its similar but RVFs are very noisy bikes, heavier than the 2 strokes but nice to ride I can tell u that much.
