THANK YOU-Yes - I had multiple start times this morning. After watching your great tutorial -I got them to show off as I was on a 3rd CYCLE Again but it still started another 4th cycle on Station 1 so I THEN TURNED SYSTEM TO OFF IN DESPERATION and Waited a minute and then turned system ON AGAIN WHICH STOPPED THE 4th CYCLE and it should now be ready on next day tomorrow SUNDAY to water again at 6:00 AM AS SET -RIGHT?
@matthewkrom5898Ай бұрын
I would think so. Start times are the trigger that start everything so long as the day is a watering day. So if there's only 1 start time you should be good. Keep in mind there are 4 start time options for each program (A, B & C).

Can you disconnect the wires from the transmitter Clik and replace with a new one without removing all the wires from the panel? I have an old transmitter (pigtail wire) and it would be great if I can just swap the transmitter and leave the wires alone.

if it does not shut down the sprinklers then what? Do I need to replace the batteries?
@matthewkrom58983 ай бұрын
If it's a Hunter WRCLIK as depicted in the video the battery cannot be replaced. Make sure it's not a "lost sync" issue before replacing the sensor. Check the receiver (small grey box wired into controller). If the standy light is green it should be working and if not needs to be replaced. If it is red the battery is likely dead or it is on bypass, which would mean both lights should be red. If only bottom light is lit and its red, time to replace. If the bottom light is blinking then it's lost sync and needs to be resynced. Do this by holding the small black button on the transmitter outside down for 5-10 seconds. It is located on top of the rectangular white piece between the mounting arm and two white cylindrical parts of the sensor.

So each zone should have the SAME start time?
@matthewkrom58985 ай бұрын
Think of it more of a program start time. The zones don’t get their own start time. For a program you set which days to water, a start time (which tells the program when to start watering), then you assign which zones should be on that program. The zones run in sequence beginning at the start time.

@matthewkrom58988 ай бұрын
Unfortunately we are not able to do that here in Connecticut. Even the lines in the ground have been known to freeze and crack so everything gets winterized with an air compressor to blow all the water out of the system.

What is the second number when seeing the internal days?
@matthewkrom5898 Жыл бұрын
The second number (to the right) is “Days Left”. As in how many days are left until it waters next. If you have a 4am start time and it’s 3pm showing 0 days left it will water at 4am the next morning. If it shows 1 then it will water again at 4am on the second day.

I see that you posted this 6 years ago but can you explain what "interval" is? Female here and I know absolutely nothing about how this works! Thanks!
@matthewkrom5898 Жыл бұрын
The interval setting within the water day portion of your program determines a number of days between watering days. So an interval of 3 means the system will water every third day, an interval of 2 means the system will water every second day or every other day as opposed to watering on specific days of the week or odd or even numbered dates on the calendar (even being the 2nd, 4th, 6th ..... day of the month). The other number on the screen labelled "Days Left" indicates how many days are left before the system waters again.
@terrialexander1534 Жыл бұрын
@@matthewkrom5898 Thank you but I need more clarity. Do I have to set interval on something? I have it on 1 right now. I also have it set to run on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
@matthewkrom5898 Жыл бұрын
@@terrialexander1534 There are three ways to set your watering day schedule and you can only choose one. You either set days of the week such as Sunday, Tuesday and Friday OR select an interval such as every 2 or 3 days OR odd or even calendar dates. If you are selecting interval or odd/even all the days of the week have to allow watering, which means none of them can show the little rain drop with the circle and slash through it above the day of the week. This is because the day of the week in which the system is set to water will change from week to week on either interval or odd/even. If you want to set particular days of the week such as you listed you can leave the interval set @ 1. You then need to make sure all the days of the week below the interval 1 number on that same screen do NOT have the rain drop with circle and slash. Then continue to press the right arrow key until you get to the so called "day of the week" screen in which the word interval and the number above it disappear. The days of the week at the bottom need to show a rain drop on the days you want watering and will either be blank or have the rain drop with circle and slash (depending on the year of your controller) indicating non-watering days. You press the + key to turn days on and the - key to turn days off. You can also call our office 860-426-3377 and get a call back when you are standing in front of your timer and we'll walk you through it.

Is there anyway to get the head to move back and forth faster? Mine seems to take over a minute for a full sweep. Perhaps that's normal, I don't know?
@matthewkrom5898 Жыл бұрын
Not really, the tend to slow with age due to debris clogging the filter in the bottom. The water pressure goes up the head and spins a turbine which in turn operates the gear drive and makes it turn. If the filter is clogged enough it can slow the rotation. It can also be a combination of flow restrictions such as how the pipe was run, what fittings where used and at what angle they are to one another and the pipe etc. If it still rotates at a consistent speed and isn't stopping and starting then the gear drive is good. If it is the gear drive is damaged and the head will soon stop rotating altogether.
