Major issue for drivers in Florida is not being covered by Uber in an accident. Bodily injury liability coverage and Uninsured/Underinsured coverage are both optional not required by State. And many drivers here don’t have BI. Make sure to have UM/UIM on your insurance to cover your injuries in that case. Uber goes by minimum state required coverage. I’m still researching this matter. I was hit by a driver with no BI Liability coverage, car was a total loss (I got the collision payment from Uber) and I have injuries. Uber said there is no UM/UIM benefits from them. And I only have $10k UM/UIM on my State Farm personal insurance and have the rideshare endorsement, but they are trying not to pay it. I would recommend getting UM with a min of $50k-$100k if you can or more

Few things will drive your rating down quicker than making me wait to pick you up. Granted, if I was only a minute or 2 away when I got pinged, ok...I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. But, if I drive 10 minutes to get you and you still make me wait 3 minutes or longer you had no business calling for that ride when you did

I always mark the rider picked up after one minute watting and drive away only to mark it as a drop off three blocks away.

Truth is riders have different motives for using Uber. Some of them seek out the experience and look forward to seeking it out again the next time they ride (a lot if those tip). Then there are those that just see it as “getting a lift”. They really don’t want to pay anything for transportation

Door Dash is pure trash. This what they do, If a customer tips you they pay you less for less for the trip. They are basically stealing from the drivers. If a customer tips you for instance 5 dollars for a trip then their base pay will be less and if customer doesn't tip you then they pay you a little more of the base pay.

He is right though. Get used to your area and stick to the white side of town. You will make more money and will have less dangerous people to deal with

I don't think anybody is worried about 3 traffic lights and a little bit of traffic lol. What, it takes like 10 mins to get 20 miles in town. You can go 20 miles at 35 mph in like 10 mins including the couple red lights. Maybe if the speed limit is 25mph it might take you 15 mins to drive 20 miles through town. Easy peasy.

If you just deliver in your own hometown rather than traveling 50 miles to a different area you obviously already know your hometown so it doesn't matter. For example if you live in New York City, just deliver in NYC since you know your whole town. Don't travel to Pensylvania just because you make more money that day cause you won't know the streets. If you stay in NYC you know every street inside and out so just stay there! You are welcome for the tip!

Again...Daily/Weekly/Monthly Boycotts is the only solution. This includes EVERYONE who uses the uber app, Contractors, Customers and Businesses, Rideshare and Delivery. Everyone, Everywhere Worldwide needs to be in on this to make a serious impact otherwise uber will just keep carrying on. Every Monday each week, every month, we all log off the App worldwide. If uber doesn't stop stealing from the contractors, businesses and the customers we will log off 2 days/week and so on, until they start paying us contractors our wages and stop stealing from the customers and businesses. We will start with Mondays, then do Fridays if necessary, then Saturdays? Spread the word world wide, and take a well deserved rest on Mondays and get your personal/business things done during the week when everything is open...that you need to get done etc. Enough is enough, no more words only, lets take consistent action now!!! Starting September 23rd 2024, eventually everyone will hear about it and join in, then watch these thieving cheating stealing greedy criminals come to the only conclusion that works, threat everyone fairly and with respect, or no vehicles will be available!!!

All of this was done just to distract drivers from the fact that all these updates came with decrease in driver pay again. How much longer everyone going to tolerate that?

Passengers are asking drivers to cut Lyft and Uber out of the deal! Passengers are getting robbed and drivers are getting underpaid especially with airport rides, special events and super long rides!

Newbie here. Been doing Lyft for 4 weeks and Uber for only one week. I can’t believe how insane the Uber offers have been. I believe I rejected over 100 Uber eats request this week. Over and over, $4 for 28 minutes trips, $3 for 21 minute trip, etc. it was so ridiculous!!!

Florida is not showing up front fare. I just did 10 trips and each trips were 3-4 dollars no tips. If a customer doesn’t tip at least 1 dollar I would never consider picking them up. I wish I could see this and not pick up those last 10 no tip riders. So it looks like only 10% of riders are tipping in Florida. Based on my first 11 rides on a busy Friday night. I made more doing food only on my moped in Dallas. 50hr moped Dallas vs 10hr 2024 Camry in Florida. Hmmm. Moped food delivery only was better pay in Dallas than doing rides in Florida.

Never waiting more than 2 min to pick pax up, had my last ride last night at Kroger. Pax told me they was coming out, waited 5 min she shows up with like only 3 bags of groceries, she stank so bad like weed and still had the audacity to tell me to stop at the gas station and to top of that left no tip for wasting my time. At the end i realized she had a 4.70 rating and it all made sense😂 next time aint no way im waiting for anyone ans let alone pick em up with that rating

Rideshare hayday was over 1.5 year ago when quest and surge pretty much disappeared. It's just uber pennies now uber hammering riders and scamming drivers. So expensive now riders barely tip these days. And most drivers in Florida don't have the commercial insurance riders are clueless to this. Hell some still think uber pays our gas and maintenance bills. There are some still believe we get 100% of what they pay with fairy dust included!!!😮😮😮
