My Great grandfather had a shoe repairers on the Butt's and also made clogs and was known as Cloggy Wass. My Aunt Clara Brown was the caretaker of Field Head Chapel and remember it well. 😊😊😊😊😊

I was born and bred in Milford and this is very interesting as the Strutt family was by this time not as active and the properties were being sold off.

Great narration by Adrian and interspaced with so far unseen photographs of Belper. There was even mention of my 3rd G/Grandfather Abraham Jennison. I still think he was innocent and "fitted up" 🤣 Looking forward to more.

Very good but you can see they still managed to ruin or pull buildings down mostly after the war and replace them with monstrosities

I went to Belper today, inspired by a slide show by you Adrian. I walked around for over 2 hours it was great. Belper has some beautiful streets and buildings. 🙂

What a smashing video! Great to hear the snippets of everyday Belper folk. I especially like the accounts of the pubs owned by the various Watson’s, as well as the Watson fighting with people outside the local gin shop! Thanks for bringing these stories to life.
