Just thinking about the options out there - main concerns about this bike is the low BB. might not be a problem based on my terrain, but is there any chance to install a 29 rear? Will the chainstay and seatstay brace provide enough clearance?
@ForestMountainBiker15 сағат бұрын
Good question, no flip chips, may be clearance for a 29er in the rear, I do like mullet so wouldn’t change myself, but the BB height is low tbf, hugs berms like glue but I do get pedal strikes on tech sometimes 👍🤷♂️

Hello. Right now, that bicycle is on sale for €4,200, so I'm thinking of even buying it. The only thing that bothers me is that it's a mullet. I've only ridden 27.5 so far and that bothers me, since the bicycle is something I would sometimes use for classic trails in the mountains.
@ForestMountainBiker5 күн бұрын
Bargain 👌 Interestingly I used to ride and was reluctant to go mullet but when I did… I’ll never go back now 👌 If you got a buddy with a mullet bike see if you can have a go, takes a couple of rides but you’ll know soon if you like it or not 👍
@sinisakalicanec6823Күн бұрын
Thanks for your answer. but in the group there are about 15 of us who ride bikes, I'm the oldest, they're all around 20 years old, I'm almost everyone's dad, 😊 everyone rides 27.5 wheels, nobody wants to ride 29, frankly, it's almost impossible to buy a bike with 27.5 wheel size and with a fork travel of 180. All are either the Mulet version or 29 inch wheels.

I’ve only just caught up with this video. All those early features comments are spot on. I’m still trying to figure out what went wrong for me on the step up road gap, when I crashed in front of you 🤣 It’s the first crash I’ve had on a big jump, normally if I get something wrong, I have a good idea what, but this time I’m not sure. I let it go and thought I had matched the angle of the landing but obviously not! Shame, as it’s a beautiful line and it’s going to be a while before I get back to it…
@ForestMountainBiker12 күн бұрын
Hope you get to finish the line soon my friend 👊 It is an angled landing on the step up road gap, almost a hip really 👍 Such a beautiful line 👌

between the spectral and torque on which can do it all, im torn between the spectral cf9 or torque on cf8, due to having a mixture of canalpaths, roads and bridleways does torque bog down on flat roads. and have to agree the wires look a mess going thru headset
@ForestMountainBiker12 күн бұрын
The Torque on may be a bit much travel for canal paths and bridleways, maybe the Spectral may be less work. Both bikes are awesome though so you won’t go far wrong 👍
@stianjarnass11 күн бұрын
Me too 🤭. Have you decided? The Torque on is almost the same price and weight 👏. I have the "analog" torque and the it anazes me how great it is as a trail bike and even climbing 👏. Even though 160 is more than enough I think I would choose 180. But a torque on fly would be amazing 😅
@nfive511 күн бұрын
@@stianjarnass no not yet I think the torque on be to much bike in the area Im in it has low BB height so I'm weighing up options
@stianjarnass11 күн бұрын
@@nfive5 is the spectral BB higher? That sure is a good thing 👏. I have the Ghost hybride slamr x 3,7. And the attention to details is amazing. Higher bb, 155 crank arms means I can plow through anything. Even adjustment on the fork to lower and stiffen it for gravel. But yeah I think the spectral on will be perfect for you
@nfive511 күн бұрын
@@stianjarnass apparently so to avoid pedal strikes on the torque u would need shorter cranks
@alfredosolano832412 күн бұрын
I just replaced a Lyrik Ultimate with a Formula Selva R and the improvement could not be greater. The Formula is way stiffer (probably stiffer than a ZEB) and plusher, offers more mid stroke support and bottom out resistance, has way better small bump sensibility and traction, and simply there is no comparison in terms of adjustability. Game changer!
@ForestMountainBiker12 күн бұрын
Thanks for the comment buddy, I’ve heard good things about the selva r fork, and it’s a similar (ish) process to the Lyrik 👍
