The recipes that come with the machine didn't sound very appealing, but this one sounds wonderful. Can't wait to try this! By the way, would love to have more information on what brand of coffee you use (typically). One of the things that I love about this machine is that you can still get the flavor of the coffee even when you add flavorings. But if you don't have a good coffee, what's the point? I've tried organics, Tully's, Pete's, Seattle's Best. Even though these are excellent choices, I have yet to find one that is equivalent to Starbucks (in store). Even with Starbucks from the grocery store, I have yet to achieve the same flavor as I get when I purchase a coffee from within a Starbucks store. I haven't' given up hope yet. Still searching for that "perfect recipe".

I'm curious why you turn off the brew instead of just turning the drip stop. By doing that, pushing the brew button again to resume starts a full brew, instead of picking up where you left off. Turning on the drip stop pauses the brew cycle.

What sort of grind do you use? Does it matter?

+Timothy Reinerman Regular drip is all you need. If you use a finer ground, I'd recommend using paper filters instead of the permanent filter, as you'll get a lot of residue/fine grounds in the coffee, provided you have a version of this that comes with the gold-tone permanent filter.
