For everyone I’ve tried this. I did the same thing by ripping ou the governor but leaving the pole and the clip in place. I did not up the white plastic piece back on top of the People went tightening the lever back down. The mini bike starts up but when I turn the throttle the bike won't move. DO have any thoughts on what is wrong. Thank you in advance. -Rob

If you wanted more speed you should have went right to a torque converter. With a torque converter on these Colemans there is no need to pull the governor or change the linkage in any way. And having the governor already out will not make it faster than if the governor was still there. You could have installed the torque converter, backed out the throttle screw and have been done with it.
