Good stuff dude. I just got 7 years clean from dope in June. My story seems very similar to yours (like many addicts I meet). You are dead on about how vital having a channel like this would be for someone newly in recovery. All of those sleepless nights in the beginning just scouring KZbin for videos to try to find hope to keep going. I would focus on the aspects of early recovery and how much better life can get. I think it is also important for us to talk about and face the really shitty things we had to do to get high. I'm always here to support you if need be. Keep fighting the good fight.

I too along with him pushed us apart; the father of my children, I got clean an he still drank but years went by we got back together & idk he was using ups bc he wasn’t like that & I thought he was just being a crazy weird asshole but nope, long story short he’s been in jail 11 months, supposed to get out in may & I hope we can make it again bc we both are heartbroken an feel so bad to have our kids/ fam in a struggle... don’t loose hope, when there’s a will, there is a way not even with your ex but someone else, higher power took over for u imo and now u have been presented the tools to recover and deal with your issues if you continue to use them The proper way & let someone guide you! I am so proud and glad I came across your channel! You give me hope as well, I am not perfect but I have been clean from pills for 4 years & dabbled with other stuff when he an I got back together but we can and do recover! Prayers to u an just keep continuing to let go, Live an let live! ☮️🙏🏼
