Is it possible that this video, like the previous ones by Maestro Feltz, will also be subtitled in English? That would be a wonderful gift

you can put on the subtitles here on KZbin in the menu :-)

The adagio is heart-rending, beautiful!! Mustonen's craft with his thematic material is clearly masterful.

Absolutely stunning. At the time of this recording Holliger was 84 for years old! His technique must be impecabble, otherwise he wouldn't be able to pull it off.

Not at all a good performance. It's hard to believe Lenaerts is considered a major harpist or teacher. I doubt she could get a job in the USA.
@arnezeller227911 ай бұрын
I disagree. Even though I can't say anything about harp technique (being a cellist), I find this to be an amazing rendition. The orchestra's colours, Nicolas Altstaedt's sound, the musical clarity is all very fitting and beautiful in my opinion. And to me the harpist only adds to that atmosphere.

Bellissima opera .

Holliger sigue siendo Holliger..
Ridiculous question, but are his notes available in any format? His numbers he is citing don't match the score, and while I can follow along, it would be helpful to see his examples listed.

SORRY THIS IS VERY NICE BUT ITS PIANO MUSIC !! OR MORE EXACTLY HARPSICHORD MUSIC
@Moshmorenko9 ай бұрын
So is, to take one of many examples, Pictures From An Exhibition. Bach himself was a past master at transcribing his own works for different instruments. No need to be sorry.

I always find this better suited to a woman’s voice (& sensibility), forgive me PPears. My favourite version (& voice) are those of Anne Catherine Gillet, but this woman is quite attractive. Her French is good & yes, it matters. Most of the strings’ accentuations are welcome, sometimes I like these even more pointed. Bravo!!
