I have lived in Grand Island my whole life and have always loved this house, it is beautiful. I am sad to know that the grand staircase was removed and also that the ballroom is no longer original. I would have loved to see pictures of this house before people ruined its original state.

I doubt anyone will see this, but I remember doing this when I was at Wasmer in the late 90s. I was a juror. We convicted Goldilocks. 😂

Since World War II, the stupid cliche of "thank our veterans for our freedom" was unofficially attached to the day. Of course, Americans haven't died in defense of freedom since the War of 1812.

Memorial Day (first known as Decoration Day). No one is “Gas Lighting.” The event this women is mentioning is an official proclamation brought forth by General Logan that Decoration Day, be observed annually and nationwide. Many cities have held a type of Decoration Day, Memorial Day and can claim as the first Decoration Day, Memorial Day because it was the first in their city or state. One of the first decorations/honoring was of a Civil War participant, killed and this event was held in 1861. Many of these events were in some fashion to show respect before and during the civil war. The first national observance of Memorial Day occurred on May 30, 1868. Then known as Decoration Day. The event by the black population mentioned in a Posted here was a parade. So no, it was not the first and not even labeled as a Decoration Day or Memorial Day.

Only Memorial day I observe is the death of Jesus. His death gave everyone an opportunity at everlasting life if we obey God's laws and principles. No government across the globe is doing God's will-not one. Every earth kingdom (government) will be destroyed during Armageddon and replaced. Read Daniel 2: 44

Do all MAGA followers think that those that gave their lives for their country are " Suckers and losers" or is it just their leader (tRump)? He is not military material, especially not commander and chief of the military material!!!!

Well, wasn’t that wrapped in a cute little bow 😏 However, records show that one of the earliest Memorial Day commemorations was organized by a group of formerly enslaved people in Charleston, South Carolina less than a month after the Confederacy surrendered in 1865. Several dozen of the newly Fried African-Americans went back to a confederate encampment to pay respects to all of the fallen soldiers to honor them for their newfound freedom

I just came from Lady Boule's channel, and she made the exact same point. I had no idea that Memorial Day had been started by individuals who had been formally enslaved. They neglect to teach us this part of US history in high school.

Is that Pete ricketts? How do you manage to look so old and sallow? Republicans won't pass tough legislation on border till Trump supposedly elected, just like on the supreme Court nomination.

Never buy Outlaw Fries. Complete garbage. Burned past enjoyable, almost non-edible. I can see why they put so many toppings on top, to mask the dirty brown taste. Told the manager/owner and he just shrugged, "that's what you get with real potatoes". Yea, $15 from a sucker, but never again. Their picture of it is completely a lie as well. No offer of a refund or a remake was made. I just had to suck it up and eat them or throw it away.

I tried this food truck just last Friday. They really need to filter the oil in their deep fryer more often, and they added an extra $5 tip to my credit card without my consent. Long John Silvers is a much better option for both the quality and value in my experience.
