if i know that was the pilot on every flight i will take in the future i would not need to take xanax and do jagar shots before i boarded
@RyanRWHoldingsКүн бұрын
An excellently controlled landing in a gusty, quartering, crosswind left of the nose. Great control, no over correcting, with a positive, non floating touchdown - clearly a pilot with experience of flying in the wind and knows that you don't land with any significant tailwind, and there's no sign of any tailwind here either. 😉
@johnjaeger4804Күн бұрын
The reverse thrust was normal, it appeared to be ‘substantial’ only because the runway was wet. The landing pilot did a great job of keeping it “flat” so that gusts could not cause a pitch up or lateral movement, and the prompt use of spoilers and adequate reverse prevented hydroplaning and allowed for rapid deceleration. Great crosswind landing! (I am a retired airline pilot/flt. instructor)
@johnjaeger4804Күн бұрын
not a “tail wind” it was a CROSS wind.... airplanes/airliners don’t land with tail winds.

Don’t understand why you said too much power on the reverse. Our company has mostly Global Express but we have a few BBJ’s. All things considered; that was a darn good landing.

Wow, great footage of a B767-300 landing on a wet runway. The title is a little misleading though. The wet runway just shows what the normal airflow would look like if we could see it, admittedly the reverse thrust used might be a little more than usual based on the conditions at the airfield

Going from rudder to tiller must been insane!😮😊
@NicholasRiviera-Dr10 күн бұрын
What do you mean by going from rudder to tiller?
@bxpress650710 күн бұрын
@NicholasRiviera-Dr when an airplane is in flight the pilots use the rudder to steer the plane that controls side to side movement..as soon as airplane touches the ground and slows the pilot uses a wheel on his side called a tiller to control the front nose wheel to control the planes direction
@NicholasRiviera-Dr10 күн бұрын
@@bxpress6507actually once the aircraft touches down the rudder pedals give an input to the nose wheel steering aswell. From memory it’s up to 8 degrees of nose wheel steering. The tiller is only used once taxing for turning tighter

Plane do not land with a Strong Tail Wind, they will do a 180, and land with a Strong Head Wind, at least if there is a Crew with any function Brain Cells

Well, the content creator is not a pilot... Pilots don't land with tail winds. Airports change runway directions to avoid it. The poster probably meant to say "cross winds", which that certainly was! Nice job setting that bird down!
@AirlinersFreak15 күн бұрын
visibility was so bad of RW14 approach course, so they land in the strong tail wind.

エンジンが超強力=身軽=安全
@sorellman23 күн бұрын
They needed the speed to keep the airplane in line because of the gale-force wind. Hence the explosive reverse thrust.
You do understand with the winds blowing approximately 80+km/h and the engine reverse thrust engaged, the water collected on the runway is easily disturbed and lifted. This has nothing to do with too much engine power. This is a Boeing 737-700..FYI.

Unsafe operating practice to land with a tailwind. Why did the tower controller not declare the strong wind and switch runways to runway 14, the reciprocal of 32?
