I have an ALDI cast iron frying pan and it's been okay since I bought it. There is absolutely nothing about it that is better or worse than if I had bought some other cast iron pan except of course it was very cheap for what it is. One criticism, which is probably true of all cast iron pans is the "pre-seasoned" thing is a nonsense. I had to put the thing in the oven a few times to coat it properly.

Don’t give up on rump steak yet Gazza. I love rump steak, prefer mine medium rare, but even for well done you’ve way over cooked. A key stage is after cooking it it needs to rest for c10-10min covered with foil to allow the juices to soak back into the steak making it juicy and tender. I usually cook steak in a cast iron skillet but wanted to see how to do it in my ninja. I found air frying mine for 4 mins resting for 10min while I then air fried my potato fries worked wonders.
