The MIDI file does include the vocal melody and the harmonies/backing vocals (channels 4 & 5). They are just muted in the video demo.

Thank you! I used the "Synth Bass 2" patch from the Sound Canvas VA. I also used portamento messages to control the slides from one pitch to the next.
