Inappropriate discussing the war with that music...and the music was overly used. Cannot watch with the sound on.

The resurgence of the wonderful boho style is thanks to the many festivals....and the A line dresses with peter pan or boat collars would work very well today if adapted to the right colours.

Ready to wear is not what it was when my queen Coco was in charge. We need a designer in today’s world and challenges to deliver. Prices need to be adjusted and styles too! You can’t buy and wear sequence in the morning or afternoon. Make it like it was then, affordable quality and comfort for women.

“New forms of government - more egalitarian …. “ and you show a picture of Lenin, the icon of a form of government- communism which would cause the death and torture of tens of millions? I hope this was an oversight. I was enjoying it.

The 60's and 70's paved the way for ever era after them. It was a wonderful time of amazing fashion and as a teenager back then I had so much fun with fashion. It was so creative & innovative, more so I think than any other eras.

Another fashionista though AMERICAN to me was MS MARILN MONROE! She had big blue cornflower eyes, blonde ( ok we know) wig or dyed blonde hair.One of MM fave designers was Pucci and Valentino.plus she …..could have worn a paper bag & looked fab! THEN THE KENNEDY DRESS WHICH I WAS BORN IN 1961 so I’m guessing …..GIVENCHY or Chanel or it was personally made for her? Love to know! If anyone does reply to me on this board! In her memory 🫶🏼🦋🦋🦋🦋🌹🌹🌹⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had beautiful dresses during the 50s. My mother made them, but both grandmothers were very good at making clothing. My mom copied dresses that were on models in Seventeen Magazine, made copies of expensive Lanz dresses and Pendleton skirts.

My favourite fashion icon. I love how she saw and interpreted fashion. Her mind was something else. All the collaborations with Man Ray and Salvador Dali still inspire fashion today. I love how Daniel Roseberry honours her in today's Schiaparelli.

The woman’s picture at 2:34 looks like a modern woman playing dress-up. I say that because her makeup and eyebrows aren’t quite right and it looks like she is wearing gauges (pronounced gage-iz). I could be wrong, but I have been staring and staring at her trying to figure it out. Especially her ear… it really looks like a modern gauge. If there are people who are unsure of what I mean, gauging one’s ears is the fashion trend of stretching out the earlobes, little by little, making the earlobe holes bigger and bigger. Then, they usually put some type of gauges in them so people can see right through earlobe holes. I will never forget the first time I saw an American guy with stretched out earlobe holes. In 1989, I was at an exotic pet shop in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti (pronounced Ip-sah-lantee), Michigan area. The guy who worked at the shop was just a little older than me and he had Lincoln Logs, yes, the wooden block toys, in his stretched out earlobes! I wonder what his ears look like now that he’s in his mid-fifties or so?

She's was a fighter , i love her approach , as a designer maybe cause I'm not that fully developed , my style hasn't been established i love that she really changed how women dressed providing comfortability and still making the look elegant , i love that she played with shapes , love the round neck , she was smart , i sometimes wonder what all these artists would've done today in this world that we live in , they all judt had things to prove , points to make, and stood their ground , especially her as a woman, the bravery of this women is incredible she's a true inspiration , may she rest in peace.

Fascinating. I got through most of it but why do narrators compete with music at the forefront?
@fashionhistorysessions
@fashionhistorysessions 4 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment. Narrators are learning how to make videos. Usually their knowledge resides on the content, not on the making of the video. That is why the sound is not perfect in this video.
