OK, I use open D tuning. DGDGBD. You can do it your way but with one capo if you tune down to CGDGBD. Or simply leave it at DGDGBD and the last cord does not go down to the low D and you get the illusion of a lower cord by playing 5 5 0.

Thank you! Yes working around that base note was the hard part. I'm pretty sure he uses some studio base at one part too which I couldn't duplicate with the guitar. The d tuning though is basically what I'm doing just my own cheat version 😆

It does get up there a little. One thing that helped me extend my range a bit was learning about the difference between head and chest voice (if that helps at all). It was a little bit of work to get it to where it is today and even still wish I could go further! Thank you though and best of luck!
