I think it's Haram. It's like a lottery or a ponzi scheme. People put money into a basket, the first that withdraw money win, the last ones lose. Cryptocurrency is not an actual currency yet. People only buy it to make money. There are whales that put in money to raise the price, the rest of the people follow and put money. Once the value reached is desired, the whales take out the money, and the rest lose. Trading with actual currencies like dollar and euro is okay because there is a need for them to buy goods where they are accepted.

What a miracle summary and Fetwa at the end even McDonald's are using it. MashAllah what a learned sheikh. Sheikh why are not going to work at McDonald's. McDonalds is opening a new location on the moon. If sheikh send a fetwa from the moon every one can get it.

It is totally different. Bitcoin, it is no backup by anyone. It is like playing a game in a computer. On the other hand, the "stone" was backed by the asset. The paper money is backed by the government with the gold.
