Was good to hear your history with the Road Rash game and how you came to get it back in the day. I played it myself back in the day on the Amiga 500+ I loved it. Good little flip from CeX there mate. Wonder why Smash Bros has dropped quite a bit. I played and completed Quantum of Solace back in the day on the 360. I remember enjoying it. Although I will add, I've always found it difficult to play James Bond games as they've never lived up to the feeling of Goldeneye 007. Put that to the side and there are some good 007 games out there. Let me know what Bloodstone is like, I've heard good things. I played Matt Hoffman on the PS1, but played Tony Hawk Pro Skater way more. Really fun game. They remastered it didn't they for the PS4/PS5. Might be worth checking out as a pick up and play. Vintage Gamer sounds a great shop. Haven't got anything like that within 60 miles around me haha. He did you a great deal. Enjoyed that mate. 🍻🎮
@N64tress10 күн бұрын
@@FlashbackTNT thanks mate. Yeah I will give Quantum another try. I am probably being biased because it is the worst James Bond film there is IMO. They haven’t lived up to Goldeneye you’re right but they did make some good games nonetheless since. I enjoyed the ones on the PS2 quite a lot even though none were based on a film as such. Yeah I’ll let you know about Bloodstone, maybe do a video but turns out I am going to need a laptop with some more fire power if I want to get better quality visuals for anything beyond N64… 😒 but yeah I had a quick go on the first level and it was very smooth, looks clean etc and the movement of Bond felt good for a third person game. I do have the Pro Skater 2 remake on PS4 actually I bought it and didn’t put much time in at all but one I do need to. It’s just in the queue as we say… 😝 Glad you enjoyed it mate. The Smash was a great find for CeX, if you roll the footage back and see the Mario 64 next to it, that’s the condition N64 games tend to be more often than not when I see them when out and about… 🤣 Cheers. 🍻
@FlashbackTNT10 күн бұрын
@Makavelithedon64 shame about the laptop situation, but I actually enjoy the over the shoulder view you've been doing recording the screen. @ thanks mate that’s useful feedback. Maybe what I can do is try and get a little bit of a better angle at least so it’s more square on whilst I contemplate a new laptop. Glad you’ve had some success locally in CeX, always nice when it happens. Going back to Smash, unsure why the price has come down a bit, I think across the board some prices have come down, people are not spending as much at this moment in time. Kind of a trough in the cycle compared to peaks seen during the Covid years. If you’re ever selling anything nice don’t trust an eBay auction put it that way. Been some really nice stuff going for crazy cheap prices lately. Great for buyers, bad for sellers. Buyers market for sure right now.

@@Chief1605 thanks mate. Yeah I agree those limited editions are great and a focal point in any N64 collection for sure. I think as somebody from the UK we were probably the most unlucky, as well as the rest of Europe when it came to N64 games. E.g. North America getting so many more exclusives (Indy being a tough one to accept), getting more coloured carts (red, blue, green, yellow and other black carts other than Turok 2). Australia even got the yellow cart for DK64 at least but not UK. Nintendo of Europe really didn’t care too much about that to my mind which is a shame. Then there’s all the other stuff like the controllers we didn’t get etc (Extreme Green). Loose funtastic controllers sold boxed or blistered…

In case anybody is curious, having done some reading around it would appear that the PS3 HDMI output is protected, and the only real way to get around that to capture footage using the Elgato is to use RCA output instead, so sacrificing a bit of quality. Next time I want to do some PS3 gameplay I will try this as I do have a RCA to HDMI upscaler which you would also need.

That was a respectable run man! Aztec, in my humble opinion is the hardest level in the game on 00 Agent, as there is verily no room for error. I’ve recently done a 100% run-through of the game, albeit, on my Series X and had completely forgotten how unforgiving that first room of the level was! It’s literally make or break there. One little trick you could try that works well for me - in to room with all the drones, take out the first coulpe the way you did, then run like hell to the other side of the room where the corner of the wall juts out and take cover behind there. It gives a much cleaner vantage point to take out the guards with the lasers and remaining drones on the ceiling. Good work man! Will be looking forward to seeing you take out the Egyptian level!

@N64tress27 күн бұрын
Yeah shame the number is cropped out. He will have done it using the 300 rounds you have in the watch, but just perfected how to use it sparingly to do just enough to kill or blow up the brakes on the train. The details these speed runners went into to find the fastest way of doing things is mind-blowing. Eg looking at the floor when running because the game has to do less “rendering” and it saves fractions of seconds. Obviously the clock on 007 only works to the nearest second but if you amply reduce the time it’s the difference between a 1:48 and a 1:49!
