1.The DVAC; Chennai; has suspended the Sub-Registrar (Bhagavathi Chandran of Kovilpatti Thoothukudi Dist;) for having approved the sale deed registration illegally without verifying the site,even though a concrete building existed on the site.He gave a certificate of inspection that the land was vacant, & belongs to Gov't; Poromboke Cemetery land. 2.The said Sub-Registrar colluded with Thittankulam Panchayat president, M.Ponraj & registered the land in favour of Ponraj's brother Palanisamy on 24th June-2014. 3.The DVAC said the IG of Registration(Lands & other Properties)had mandated the sub-registrar to verify the previous original documents,patta & other revenue records etc; to ascertain the rights of the seller. But the said Sub-Registrar failed to verify, instead approved the registration.In this case it is clearly evident that a criminal conspiracy was detected as the said Sub-Registrar also colluded with the agent on bribes. Therefore, he was suspended on 16-08-2023 after ten years.(In this regard,the news published in the Hindu date: 17-08-2023; may be referred to) 4.A similar case was detected after nine years of criminal conspiracy, as the same was done in collusion without the knowledge of the owner & the owner's son came to know belatedly after 9 years. 5.Recently a week ago, news has been published in Hindu, that two Sub-Registrars were suspended for having registered properties illegally on ECR road in Chennai 6.For Such cheating & execution of invalid/fraudulent registrations in collusion with fraudsters, severe punishment including Jail sentence should be imposed to both the Sub-Registrar & to the cheaters/fraudsters.?!?
